SEOvB 04-11-2008 06:08 AM

it will have two upon completion :D

deezelpope 04-11-2008 09:28 AM

Mine has 6...2 are feminine, 2 are masculine, and 2 are seasonal (Halloween & Christmas).

unitedpunjab 04-11-2008 10:24 AM

1, I find it hard to maintain more than that.

Kimmi 04-11-2008 10:28 AM

around 4

nexialys 04-11-2008 11:03 AM

the biggest site i have is actually with a major style with color changes... the others are just one style, because the style represent the essence of the site, not the mood of the users.

Marco van Herwaarden 04-11-2008 11:08 AM

On vB.org we also use 1 single style. Some personalisations can however be done in the UserCP.

Brandon Sheley 04-11-2008 11:41 AM

I only show one style to the members :)

cheat-master30 04-11-2008 01:20 PM

About 23 and counting. Yes, nearly all are colour swaps, and most are because I'm not one to take down holiday styles from the menu. Including Christmas, Halloween, New Years Day, etc. Then two more are the answer to the member queries, like removing the shoutbox or a fixed style. Then three more are member submitted, and two more are test styles.

legionofangels 04-11-2008 09:13 PM

I have 11 and one test skin. The test will eventually be deleted, it's just my testing grounds for things.

I'm shocked at the response I thought people all had a bunch of skins on there board. Maybe it was unnecessary for us to make ten then. I just thought it was a good number.

duh 04-12-2008 07:35 PM

1 - and I went all out on it too! yeah right!

Shazz 04-12-2008 07:56 PM

2 - 5
Just test ones :p

theFAILURE 04-12-2008 08:07 PM

Only one, too lazy to manage more than that :)

I'd rather spend my time investigating the new members who sign up.

Digital Jedi 04-12-2008 08:33 PM

I have 3, but I eventually turned two of them off, because a poll suggested that no one even knew we had alternate styles. I figured it would be easier to maintain being that I make regular changes to the forum and experiment a lot. But in the future, I plan on making my own skins, so I'm pretty sure I'll have more. Or I may see a free one that I simply can't resist.

smacklan 04-13-2008 02:44 AM

I have 65 :p

ouch, I feel your pain.
(not really)

Ryan Ashbrook 04-17-2008 11:53 PM

I have one available to the public, and four which are private.

The private ones are old themes that no longer work. For the 3.7 upgrade we just copied the CSS over from our theme and started from scratch on the templates. The only reason they are still there is for reference in case I forgot something.

mpasternak 04-18-2008 11:54 AM

VB Default only.

we tested about 7 or 8 different themes, but in the end for our webpage, the default matched perfectly!

projectego 04-18-2008 02:45 PM

Just one -- I find having more than means more work for me. ;)

Jase2 04-20-2008 10:44 PM

One too. I would fine it too hard managing multiple styles. Plus, if you use a homepage (cms system) and you designed to blend in with a specific style, it wouldn't look right with another. And there is having to do template edits for each style if you you install an hack with template edits.

04-21-2008 12:33 AM

Our site has 2 selectable and 1 specific to the landing page.

What I would like to know is if there is a way to tell how many people are using the different styles.

I think with most CMS systems, or maybe in vBulletin itself, there's an option to force the homepage to display only one style. I can't quite remember where I set that, but I have that for my vBa page. It's actually been a necessity in my case, because I needed a fixed style for my forum pages, but a fluid style for the home page.

Guest210212002 04-21-2008 04:14 AM

Just one. I do oodles of mods to my theme all the time, and replicating it across multiple skins is just a pain in the ass.

I do plan to add a fixed/fluid option though.

budatalk 04-22-2008 06:14 AM

one, and it was painful!

choccyclaire 05-27-2008 06:56 PM

I think I have 5 or 6 right now. For months I detested the idea of creating more skins because I have so many template edits, but then I finally gave into my members and found an easy way to implement more. Lets just hope I don't want to manually edit many more templates!

Crinos 05-27-2008 10:52 PM

My main site currently has three: Apogee, Perigee and Classic...

Creating two more due to public request :)

Jase2 05-28-2008 12:17 AM

I just have one - which I'll be implementing in my main site soon. Just need finish programming, then some testing. I am however going to be creating a different colour scheme, then give users an option in their UserCP to choose which colour they want.

KURTZ 05-28-2008 09:36 AM

13+ (right now 19)

popowich 05-28-2008 04:21 PM

My forums have a custom style applied, and the default one deactivated.

Members only have the 1 option.

Just one - I do change it every year though to keep up with the different player changes etc.
