And to those who are wondering: We are constantly looking out for helpful members, but there's more to the algorithm (yes, algorithm - after all the staff are just robots after all, right? :p) than technical wisdom. We are looking for friendly, courteous, and patient members to help handle the multifaceted user base we have here.

All the factors we are looking for can be developed by everyone, and we all have our flaws. Hopefully members can learn from staff and staff can learn from members - that is how our community will prosper!

Now, I will get off my soap box and once again congratulate the new Advisors!

Only Advisors are promoted to Moderators. Promotions are done on a continual basis - and it's based on activity, knowledge, help, dedication, etc, etc.

I have been here for a while. I just got super busy during my sophomore year (this year) so I haven't been super active lately.

please, do not tell me you got promoted because of your inactivity ?!... be serious, you've been active here lately...

We thought he was just practising making coffee., as that will be his main duty in the beginning.

I come on daily. That is not my "inactivity". I just haven't been replying. And I wasn't saying that is why I was promoted. :)
