sorry I haven't installed it. You are not actually writing the title into the url or are you?

ie https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=1467947 becomes https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread/1467947.html with your mod

is that right?

superjeff 03-18-2008 02:57 PM

No. View the forum in my singnature. (in my forum i'm not using this mod, because i have 3.7.0 beta4)

Thread url: http://www.techforum.it/f[forumid]/[threadname]-[threadid]/

The thread ID is in the URL, threadid is unique.

thread with id 15 , and title: bananaphone
thread with id 16 , and title: bananaphone

first one shows: http://localhost/forum/bananaphone-15
second one as: http://localhost/forum/bananaphone-16

No problems there.

AzzidReign 03-18-2008 04:46 PM

Clicked install to follow progress.

Should also try to see if you could get this to work with vBSEO's sitemap mod.

But do you know if i can modific vBSEO's sitemap code? I think no.

AzzidReign 03-18-2008 04:59 PM

I will try in my bad english ;)

SEOvB 03-18-2008 10:26 PM

vBSEO usually makes their products pretty extensible and you should be able to integrate this with their sitemap without to many issues :)

neverstop 03-18-2008 10:30 PM

So this will work with 3.7 ?

EDIT: Not working on my 3.7.0 b5

The forum urls work fine (www.domain.com/f2/, but there are no keywords in the showthread URLS (www.domain.com/f2/-15 ... should be www.domain.com/f2/these-are-keywords-15).

Also, can you get this to work with vbadvanced cmps?

projectego 03-19-2008 08:56 AM

[high]* projectego clicks install :D[/high]

My first goal is get TfSEO gold for 3.6.x versions of vBulletin. Then, i will relase a 3.7 version and extension, like the integration with the vBSEO's sitemap and the vBadvanced cmps. (If I can advise you, try vbDrupal, is a fantastic CMS integrated with vBulletin)

Dead urls. I'm using trafficblazer from godaddy to optimize my site. Every link in the forum reports back as a dead url and spiderability "none". Will this fix the problems?

superjeff 03-19-2008 05:12 PM

Dead urls = 404 Error or similar? Can you post me a link to your site? Have you set-up the .htaccess file?

soundbarrierpro 03-19-2008 07:07 PM

Can I send you the url? every time I post it, it comes up in google search and it's a business site.

Yes....404

Thanks

Brandon Sheley 03-19-2008 07:09 PM

superjeff 03-20-2008 09:56 AM

It's my next goal. :)

superjeff 03-20-2008 12:48 PM

Anyone tried it on his forum? It work or no?

neverstop 03-20-2008 01:17 PM

Will there be an option to add the forum name in the url (ie http://www.domain.com/forum-name-f2/...eywords-t15/)?

Any timeframe for 3.7 version? (or vba cmps support?)

Cheers

superjeff 03-20-2008 01:28 PM

1) I don't think. It is very heavy and it isn't very usefull. To exemple, if you use the name in category and than you change the category name, all your thread will have a 301 redirect..
2) First that i can, i hope.

superjeff 03-20-2008 03:53 PM

UPDATED: Plugin now works with PHP4 too. I'm sorry but i have development it under PHP5.

superjeff 03-21-2008 06:50 AM

Please, some opinion!

l2-inferno 03-21-2008 06:56 AM

3.7 version? please :)

superjeff 03-21-2008 07:10 AM
