I keep getting this message when i go to my forum
Does anyone know why i get this message when i go to my forum:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent. File: /home/mmorpglo/public_html/Forum/includes/functions.php Line: 5299 Can someone please tell me how to fix this. I got this error when i intsalled a chatroom called flashchat. It worked fine but the next day it came up with a problem about config.php and people told me to upload a fresh config.php and fill out the details so i did. Now when i go to my website i have this error Unable to add cookies, header already sent. File: /home/mmorpglo/public_html/Forum/includes/functions.php Line: 5299 |
i think u have edited ur config.php file and you added < extra any where or may be you edited any templet and its missing some thing.
|
So what should i do.
|
Look at the config.php file on that line and see what you did.
|
Should i upload my config.php file in this thread.
|
if u made some change in config.php than just upload it again and be sure to add ur database detals as well and if some thing wrong with any templet that u made and forgot than just delete style xml file from your ACP and upload it again....
Its better if u can check your forum with another skin and if the same error than problem should be in config.php |
Upload the config.php.new file from a fresh download and upload it to your includes directory. Delete the old config.php and rename the newly uploaded one to config.php. Edit the new config.php to match your server.
Or alternatively, goto line 182 of your config.php and remove the rogue "<". |
Now i get this message
Unable to add cookies, header already sent. File: /home/mmorpglo/public_html/Forum/includes/class_core.php Line: 3127 |
Disable all your modifications.

I got all these errors when i installed a chatroom called flashchat. Im going to unistall that and see what happens.
EDIT: Should i just delet the folder chat in my dorum directory because i can't access my forum at all so i can't get to the uninstallation of it. |

Well check the other thread you posted to and disable the plugin system as i suggested.
|
how do i diable the plugin system i can't acess admincp.
|
Check the other thread you posted in, i posted it there already.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':
Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.] Next, disable all plugins. Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem? Regards Jason :) |
Now this is really weird. I went to a friends house and my site worked on his computer. It doesn't work on mine tho. Im going to do a restart and see if that helps. Thanks to everyone that helped.
EDIT: Now my website is working perfectly. That was a really weird error. Thankyou all again |
