Hide Friends Block

vBulletin 3.7 Beta 6 Version or Above only.

Info: Adds an option with selections for users to choose from, to hide the display of the friends block in their profile page from being seen by others.

Thanks, this can come in handy.

after importing the hack will it auto-change the existing users' choice to off by default? and will the option be available during registration?

You welcome :)

Nope, default option is set to yes, and there is no option during registration.
So, every user should go to their Control Panel -> edit options page and uncheck the choice if they don't want to have the block displayed.

Well for me it seems to work correctly for guests but registered users see the block which just says "hasn't made any friends yet".

(Running 3.7 Beta 6.)

That is correct, you might want to hide the block "Friend List" from others, but you still want to have others sending request to be your friends, so we need to show the Befriend link for registered users, where this hack has nothing to do with stopping others from sedning friendship requests.

request .... can friends be disabled by a user?
Some of the people on my board dont want to use the friends thing but I dont want to turn it off on the board.

It would be cool if a person could choose not to participate in the friends feature.

It would be like an autoreject with an optional configuration message.

default would be something like :
I currently have the friends option disabled. All friends requests are denied.

Or something like that
