vBCredits - Ultimate Points System
vBCredits is the ultimate points system for your vBulletin!
Click here for the vB3.6 compatible version Yes, this also works for vB3.8! Thank you to everyone who voted us MOTM :) Features:
Just follow the directions carefully in the zip based on whether you are clean installing or upgrading :) Fully integrated with vBulletin and easily integrated with third party scripts: Many hacks allow you to specify a points system by entering the table and column for the points data. Use TABLE: user COLUMN: credits when integrating vBCredits with such hacks (note: you may need to include your table prefix with some hacks)! If you are unsure about integration - ask me! Why is this version not the gold version yet? vBCredits 1.4rc1 went through a long bugtesting process at the official site, and rc2 is largely bug free in its entirety. However, *it is missing most of the admin help and post/thread deletion actions are temporarily removed while I figure out how to fix them. Footnotes: Thank you for using vBCredits, I would be happy to hear your feedback and correct anything that comes up. For more tailored support, please indicate you have installed this hack, and if you like it you can nominate this for MOTM. Use of this free hack requires that you retain the copyright line at the bottom of the forum (PM me otherwise). If you do not agree with this, please do not use vBCredits - thank you for your understanding and support! |
Thanks man, loved this on the old forum version, will install on new.
**installed ** |
installed: perfect setup dark -- running vbulletin 370 beta 6, cmps 3.0 gold
I'll post new screenshots for this system shortly. |
oh, also a quick note - as vb3.7 goes gold (as well as vbcredits 1.4 gold) then the 3.7 flavor of vbcredits will expand into the new features in 3.7 :-p as of right now, this is identical to the 3.6 version, except for a bunch of compatibility changes of course.
ill be updating the 3.6 version to 1.4rc2 in a moment, still checking to make sure the instructions are good there :) |
finally!!thanx man
|
Wow! the multi-loved-famous vBCredits! :D Thanks!
|
i never thought you'd be able to branch my tool to that professional level, this is amazing... ;)
btw, i did not face any bug with the pre-release.. :) (DOH!) |
Oh this is great Darkwaltz.
I will mark this one installed and mark the 3.6.x one as uninstalled, because I'm running 3.7.0 b5 now. I have a little issue with credits and the "prevent doublepost" mod, but will post that one on vbcredits.com later tonight when it comes back online or otherwise tomorrow. It's not a big issue on my forums. Clicking MOTM now.:) |
yeah, the site is down since John told me he was going to release the script...
i suppose he pushed the wrong button... "Release" and "Seal" are not the same!!! |
I gather from the 3.6 thread that 'Triad³' will use this. I'm just wondering what Triad³ is (a store, I assume?), given I can't read the site at the moment.

any new features
|
I would like to advance members by credits (instead of vb' s post count), like mentioned by this poster:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...up#post1389020 Is this feature integrated yet or has the add-on been released already? |

just wondering, ibproarcade is compatible with this hack?
|
OMG!! i was looking for this mod so damn long (around a year)! Finally it arrived! :D
|
Hi,
i have the following error in Social Group Setting: Enabled BB Codes for Social Group Messages This setting allows you to enable and disable the use of various BB codes in group messages. Note that any changes you make will only affect messages posted (or edited) after this point. An error occurred while processing the bitfield files, the following information was returned: Bitfield Collision: credits_modawards = prefixrequired How can i change it? Cuu Lars |
I encountered the same problem when upgrading from 1.4 rc1 to 1.4 rc2:

also: our site is back up, but a couple things are still down (vBTracker, the Gallery) but im working to fix it. ive filled in a couple of the missing links from the top post :) ill update in a little while. |
After importing the integration addon for vbcredits and vbookie, you have to select the "blank" option from the points selection setting. while there, you can select No for displaying vcash.
keep in mind that addon will only set the hack to start using vbcredits and ignore its native vcash. if you want to convert your vcash points into vbcredits, the converter is here: http://www.vbcredits.com/forum/showthread.php?t=173 however it will not delete the vcash (only increase user accounts by that amount) |
thx Dark ... i'm waiting the final release ... :)
|
I forgot to mention - if you were using vBCredits 1.4rc1 with vBulletin 3.7 - replace bitfield_vbulletin.xml with the original version supplied by vbulletin!
|
Oooooooooh.... oke thanks, will try again.:)
Edit: Upgrade to rc2 went fine now! |
Bug in Rc2: The usergroup Unregistered / Not Logged In (id: 1) has no vbcredits option anymore in the usergroup manager.
|
Some users are reporting the following error message when trying to view the site on any page. Currently working with Darkwaltz4 to figure out why. Went from 1.4rc1 on 3.7b5 to 1.4rc2.
Fatal error: Field credits is not defined in $validfields in class vb_datamanager_user in /includes/class_dm.php on line 485 |
Oh baby! It's finally here. Thank you so much for the release! :D
|
Feature request: Members can transfer points to each other.
|
are you kidding?? users have been able to donate to each other since 1.0
whenever there is a user's account amount somewhere, it should have a donate link near it. in regards to the unregistered/logged in missing vbcredits settings - that is intentional. why would guests have any access to vbcredits? they cant have accounts... so cant earn or spend.. also, vbcredits.com appears to be fully restored now :D so all the links work |
Oh i would like to login in your forum @Darkwalt4 but i get the following error message:
Fatal error: Field credits is not defined in $validfields in class vB_DataManager_User in \includes\class_dm.php on line 485 |
apparently if you ignore that and just let it forward you it will work..
someone else got that error, but it went away on its own... im still looking around. we also just moved servers, so might be something up with that (but we did just finish getting everything set back up) |
I need to try this, right?
|
of course you do! everyone does!
|
This still works with PHP 4, right?
|
Yes it does. You'll love it!
|
Same problem with the credits not defined issue. Some users are having the error and some aren't. One person's problem went away after I fiddled around with her profile some but I didn't really change anything. The users that are having the problem can go to the site if they clear their cookies but then they get the error message when they log in.
|
FYI - I'm also still getting the message on vbcredits.com that you are doing the upgrade and that the new version is available on vb.org.
|
Never mind my question, installed and seemingly working great!
|
I have 1.4 rc1 running perfect on Beta 6 but when I try to upload rc2 the board shuts down with an SQL error.
Should I import the product XML first possibly? |
you should not be loading any forum pages during install, which is why those errors occur
in fact you are encouraged to close your board to avoid the same problem :D its not really an error - just the xml hasnt run to apply what should be there when you ARE running the pages on a normal basis. as for the valifields error - i think i have an idea on how to fix it :D will post in a bit (lots going on!!) |
Quote:
I think what i need to do possibly is return the bitfield to the original spec maybe??? I changed it to conform to the Beta series. |
