Site Map for vB3.7

Site Map for vB3.7
Version 1.0.4
(By Boofo)

What does this product do?
This product will add a Site Map to your site, similar to the one on vbulletin.org, but with no queries.

Version Information:
Version 1.0.1 --Initial release for vB3.7
Version 1.0.2 --Added additional site links to the bottom of the site map.
Version 1.0.3 --Added checks for external files (PhotoPost, The Arcade, Paul M's Flashchat Integration hack for vB3.7 and The Radio and TV hack). If the corresponding files are found on your site in their default locations, the links will show for those hacks. If the files are not found, the links will not show. Also added RSS Feeds buttons for Google, Windows Live and Yahoo.
Version 1.0.4 --Code has been totally re-written. Added RSS Feeds buttons for MSN, AOL, Bloglines, Newsgator and Technorati. Added new mouseover affect. Redid the file checks and made some of them product checks. Added vB News link.

Branding: A Copyright has been added to the footer and is not allowed to be removed. If you want the copyright removed, you must contact me via PM for terms.

Credits:
A big thank you goes out to Kirk Y for supplying the core code, co-authoring and allowing me to release this for vB3.7. Also thanks goes out to Andreas and SirAdrian for their invaluable help and guidance.

I'm not reserving the first post.

Wait... Damn!

Bounce 02-29-2008 10:56 AM

Been waiting on this one :D

*Installed*

Is it possible to include other URL's in this?

Such as front page, gallery etc ?

Boofo 02-29-2008 11:07 AM

It pulls the forums info is all. I'm not sure it would be wise to allow any other info in a feed.

shadowevil 02-29-2008 11:07 AM

great work .... *installed*

Fair enough..

This isn't really a site map, more a forums map  Althou you do state for vb3.7 - amazing work :)

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/info.php?do=sitemap has seperate links at the bottom.. how they do that?

That would be more of what i'm after...

Boofo 02-29-2008 11:11 AM

Let me know if the FAQ info gets installed correctly, please. I've never done it like that before. I may have to adjust the link for it in the product.

Boofo 02-29-2008 11:13 AM

That would be easy to add actually. I didn't add that as I didn't know if anyone would want that.

It actually is a site map for RSS feeds.

NeuroLancer 02-29-2008 11:26 AM

* installed

*Installed*

Boofo 02-29-2008 04:29 PM

Looks can be deceiving. At least, that's what my ex used to say all the time. ;)

KURTZ 02-29-2008 06:54 PM

simply a great hack!

Boofo 02-29-2008 06:55 PM

If anyone wants to see any other links added to this before I release the next version, list them in here as to what files I need to search for. Try to stay with common hacks, if possible.

KURTZ 02-29-2008 07:02 PM

Bobby i followed your instructions but when i hit myforum/info.php i've a blank page ...

Boofo 02-29-2008 07:08 PM

Then you didn't follow the instructions. Look at the sample link in the install file. ;)

And you owe me an install button click, testing or not. ;)

KURTZ 02-29-2008 07:11 PM

bobby i click install only if this hack runs on my board ... :)

trust me, i followed exactly what you wrote ... but i have a blank page on info.php ...

Boofo 02-29-2008 07:15 PM

The link is not info.php. There is a do= part that goes with it.

info.php?do=sitemap

See that at the bottom of the install file? It is also number 1 on the install instructions in the first post. ;)

KURTZ 02-29-2008 07:17 PM

:D

OK Bobby :D

INSTALLED!!!!

Boofo 02-29-2008 07:18 PM

LOL About time! ;)

Don't forget about that other install button cklick you owe me. ;)

Also, if you want any links added to this, let me know soon. I already have the PhotPost one taken care of.

KURTZ 02-29-2008 07:30 PM

Bobby when you release hacks like this i haven't any trouble to click INSTALL :D

but, i've got some troubles with your hacks that wants some template edits ... for those hacks i wanna wait the Gold 3.7.x (i think that i've already told you my point of view in the other threads) cause i don't want redo all the edits in the new templates (maybe Jelsoft change something in the new versions) ...

anyway i put the Site Map link in the footer ... it's simply perfect!

GREAT, REALLY GREAT JOB!

edit: about new links (i removed the chat cause i haven't) but i need a couple: one for the arcade and one for the radio & tv ...

Boofo 02-29-2008 07:40 PM

ok, give me the file names and locations for the link and what you want the link as.

As far as template edits, I just check for updated templates on the upgrade and only do those that say they need to be done. This last upgrade had only 2 so it was a breeze for me. You could be waiting for a while for the Gold.

KURTZ 02-29-2008 07:45 PM

Bob if you want i've a demo account on my ste (id: demo pwd: demo) ... pls log-on and check yourself ... i think that many users needs these link ... they are really common ... :)

Boofo 02-29-2008 08:00 PM

I just added the arcade one and the photopost one. Any others?

Boofo 02-29-2008 08:05 PM

The radio and tv one might be a problem as it is calling a javascript in the link on the fourmhome. I have never seen that hack before.

3.6.8 - 745 INSTALLS many times nominated for the MOTM ... :)

Boofo 02-29-2008 08:41 PM

That's not the link you gave me the first time, is it? ;)

Give me the info I need and I will add it.

Filename and path that brings it up and the name you want the link to be.

KURTZ 02-29-2008 08:47 PM

yes i give you the link for the 3.7.x (also nominated for the MOTM) ...

however i think is: radioandtv.php (placed in the main root)

edit: maybe you put the new links in another version of this hack? or what? :) anyway i've also asked to Dream for the correct links ...

Boofo 02-29-2008 08:50 PM

Still, 96. ;)

Like this?

forums/radioandtv.php

And what do you want for the text for the link?

KURTZ 02-29-2008 08:53 PM

yeah i know :P

yes i think so Bobby ... :) maybe "Radio and TV"? for me it's the same ...

Boofo 02-29-2008 08:57 PM

Radio and TV added! ;)

KURTZ 02-29-2008 09:02 PM

superb ;)

Boofo 02-29-2008 09:02 PM

Any others?
