Spider Display
Spider Display
Version 1.0.4 (By Boofo) What does this product do? This Hack displays the Number of Spiders on Forumhome and Who is Online. If you are using a previous version of this mod, make sure to replace the default vBulletin template lines back into the templates and they are now automatically edited. Version Information: Version 1.0.1 --Initial release for vBulletin 3.7 Version 1.0.2 --Fixed MySQL error. Version 1.0.3 --Fixed the leading comma issue when there were no members online. Version 1.0.4 --Template edits now done automatically. No more manual template edits. Credits: A big thank you goes out to Andreas for coming up with the original code for this for 3.5.4. It now works in 3.7. Installation overview: Products to install: (1) File Edits: (See the NOTE below) Installation Instructions: 1. Upload spiders_vbulletin.xml to the includes/xml directory on your site. 2. Go to your Admin CP Scroll down to 'Plugin System' Click 'Manage Products' Click 'Add/Import Product' Click the 'Browse' button, and locate the product-spiderdisplay.xml file on your computer Done! Enjoy! NOTE: There is one file edit that I have not found a way to get around yet. It is a special template cache that must be used with this. The easiest way to do it is add the file edit to the includes/config.php. Since this file does not change as often, you should be fine on most upgrades. This is the ONLY file edit. NOTE: If you do not click install, you do not need support. |

Hi Boofo :) How are you?
Thank you for this hack ;) |

This is one of those hacks I was telling you about the other night. And you're very welcome. ;) |
This feature is built in 3.7 right?
ACP --> vBulletin Options --> Who's online Options --> Enable Spider Display (yes/no). Regards Jason :0 |
You won't see the number of spiders on the Forumhome or Who's Online with just that enabled.
And you know I knew about that, right? |
Thank you

Don't forget the install button in case there are any updates. |

I hope so as I have never released a hack that was a default vb feature. Maybe I should check them all right now. :eek:
|
Boofo, chill man. I just rhymed it up a little in a stupid way. Personally I don't know jase2 and didn't find it out as default in vB too.
|
This works with 3.6.8?

Jejeje ok no problem
My friend, why do you put in the Mod package two xml files?, because I see in the install instructions that only we have to use one or am I wrong ? |
The spiders_vbulletin.xml goes in the includes/xml directory. That is the listing of spiders so the names show up. I just threw that in as it is the latest version of the spiders listing right now.
|
and another little thing, the code that we have to add in includes/cinfig.php, is after or before this part:
Code:
/*======================================================================*\ Thank you |
nice one B .. installed :up:

Boofo,
When there's noone online except for the spider, it shows on forumhome as ", Spider" instead of "Spider". This also happened including the last edits of this mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119134 |
Looking into it now.
|
Boofo, you ARE the man! :D Thanks a lot for the product release, been waiting for this.
|
I take it you got the PM. You're very welcome, sir. ;)
|
Ok, just installed this. But i got a problem: On the forumhome it shows no spiders, but when i go to the who's online page, it shows google spiders. Why?
