Yahoo is the worst host provider you can get.

So to which one should i got for ?? |
People seem to rave about hostgator on here. Shared hosting will be a pain if your board is in anyway successful. You need either vps or a server in reality.

Presently i have no bucks to go for vps or a dedicated server later i may opt it ( if i earn some from the board) But as of now what should i prefer?? |
Crissic Solutions is one of the better options. I have referred many people that have HostGator and HostICan shared hosting to move to Crissic's shared hosting, and they haven't regretted the move.
http://crissic.com -- check them out. If you need help ask for Skylar, he provides amazing support and is very friendly. |
I use Colorteck and I love them. I've been with them just over a year and they've always been reponsive, kept the software up to date, and are really helpful when I'm having trouble with something weird. they also have fantastico and cpanel with all the latest stuff.

I don’t think majority of the US hosts will host your forum; it is strange that Yahoo! is hosting it right now, most probably because it’s a small forum. Better start looking for hosts in some small European country or at a place where piracy laws aren’t that strict.

need, mention my name if you go there. I recommend him highly and he will help you move. |
I have reviewed the hosting plan of hostgator , i spoke to them yesterday .board will be shutdown if we have more than 25 members at a time
How about godaddy linux hosting ?? any ideas ?? I can't bear yahoo anymore |
come on people downtownhost rulz :D
i am currently using the bronze plan at: www.downtownhost.com 24/7 support 5 GB Disk Space 100 GB Bandwidth Unlimited Addon Domains - Multiple Domain Hosting Unlimited Email Accounts 24/7 live support Cpanel (With RvSkin) Pre-Installed Script Library (Fantastico de luxe) Money Back Guarantee Site Builder Free Site Builder starting at $4.95* you mite find cheaper but i bet you want get the support and back up these guys give out. things other hosts charge you for downdownhost has done for free. a saving cost so far is around $350 or more they have not charged me to help out and install stuff when i was really crap at installing hacks and my board. by the way i have read heaps of posts on other forums about hostgator and now no there over rated sorry. |
I have found good one at webhostingjury
Now i have opted to go with polurnet hosting which i thought would be best for now You can check the speed at which it loads from my signature |
I would have to suggest LunarPages.
Their shared serving accounts are great and their support is exceptional. Regards Jason :) |
I would recommend my webhost.
I have been with them for more than 4 years and is still hosting my site with them. They are very responsive to all my support questions. I seldom run into any problem and server uptime is very good. After all, they have been in the hosting business since 2001. I would say their service is reliable and come highly recommended. Check them out at http://www.mxhub.com . |
Based on the good info I heard I tried to give Host Gator my business, but they are just so darn busy. I have been trying to contact "Chad B - the Vbulletin guy" about moving my site and 60 other domains to them since Sunday (4 days). Unfortunately the hold time of 12-18 minutes for sales and support has been too painful...
I hope they are worth it. Hoefully he will read this and contact me. |
I seriously suggest you give LunarPages a try -- they are great!
Support is better than you can wish for, and is one of the main reasons why I would recommend them. Also, there hosting is great, just check out the 'basic plan'. Regards Jason :) |
I want to allow my member to attach file to the server
Can a shared hosting can handle this ? Currently active members is 30 at any given time |

HostGator is good, my site has 900 members or so and usually about 100 on during a day. I have been with them since November but just the other day I got a message stating I went over the 25 concurrent members. But according to vB there is normally 30+ members on the site at one time. This is the only problem I have had with hostgator. I guess if I keep getting it I will just have to upgrade.
|
Well www.ReadyToHost.net has a free hosting plan that does allow mysql.. You could make an account there and test the free one out first to see if it fits your needs and upgrade as you need to.
