Timeshift Posting

What does it do:
You can do a Post or Thread for a further time. Enter Date and Time and your Post will create on that Date/Time.

This is a Beta-Version and I used it in vB 3.7.0 Beta 4 (maybe you need some "small" Modifications on the Templates).

It is avaible in 2 languages: english and german
The Documentation is in german - so if you have any problems, i will try to translate it.

Sorry, but I can't give any Support here.
For Support try http://www.php-unlimited.com/showthread.php?t=875
(German Site with english/german Phrases)

Regards
Coroner

added: Instruction (translated) -> READ.ME.txt (rename to HTM)

P.S. deutschen Support gibt es auch bei your-vb

Very Interesting to be able to Choose the Time in the Future for a Thread/Post to be Published!!

I'll try it on my Test Forum!! :p

My Best Regards!! ,)

:)

jluerken 02-12-2008 03:51 PM

Is it possible that this will only work in defined forums and for special usergroups?

Coroner 02-12-2008 03:57 PM

You can set the Usergroups were it can use. But this time, there no chance to choose a defined forum - sorry.
You can do a normal post, if you leave the "form" blank.

Regards
Coroner

Would be Good that You Translate the Instructions in the Read Me File to English!! :(

And Perhaps also Post them in this Mod's Thread!!

My Best Regards!! ;)

:)

Coroner 02-12-2008 04:52 PM

Translation is added *g. Sorry, for grammar

dreads 02-12-2008 06:27 PM

Hornstar 02-13-2008 12:48 AM

sounds very interesting and would come in handy so I dont forget to post important things when they are ready to be posted ^^

Phlex 02-13-2008 11:17 AM

sounds very useful !

Are there any known bugs yet ?

Ryuk 02-13-2008 04:49 PM

waiting for this to be on a stable version

Coroner 02-13-2008 05:01 PM

Tested in my Test Forum with vB 3.6.7 PL1 and doesn't Work!! :(

The Options to Include the Date the Post/Thread to be Posted don't Appear!! :(

I Followed all the Steps and made all the Changes in the PHP Files, as well as Stablished all Permissions for Interested Usergroups, and Nothing Happened!! :(

 Are there any Templates that need to be Changed?? (In the instructions you name the PHP Files but not Templates to be Changed; you should check that because I think you missed the Template Changes needed to Show the Text Fields to Introduce the Date and Time for the Post/Thread to be Posted)!!

 Is there a Code that some Plugin look into a Template to Replace/Add the Code this Mode Use?? If so, which Code and in which Template should I Check it??

You Should Test this Mod in vBulletin 3.6.7 and/or 3.6.8 to Verify this!! :(

I Hope You Can Fix it, for now I wont use it in my Forums; the Idea of the Mod is Great and would be nice to Use it once the Bugs are Corrected for vB 3.6.7 PL1 and/or 3.6.8!! :(

My Best Regards!! ;)

:)

Have you installed TMS ? For all my MODs I use TMS (Template Modification System).
It will change the Templates automaticly.
And yes, there're some template modifications.

Hope, that help.

Regards

I Know TMS, I even Try it in my Test Forum, but I Don't Like It because I Always Document all the Changes in my Templates MySelf, so I Prefer Manual Edits and 100% Personal Control of Template Edits!!

 Could You Please List all the Necessary Changes in the Templates to Make this Mod Work, so that I Can Test it, Please?? ;)

In all Mods that Support TMS, I've seen that Authors always List the Template Changes in their Manuals or at least in the Thread Instructions of the Mod, so that Users that don't use TMS can be Able to Make all the Necessary Template Edits and Use the Mods!! ;)

I'll be Checking this Thread for the Template Edits List, to Fully Test the Mod!!

My Best Regards!! ;)

Thanks for your MOD.
How can I edit or delete for Timeshifted thread or reply?
I set 'On witch Users the Timeshift will check about Postings' for my ID.
But I can't found Timeshifted thread or reply.
Please show me how I can find them.

Thanks.

cardealercheck 02-29-2008 02:49 PM

Can you move posts to the past too?

I have some old news articles I would like to take off of static pages and add to the forum but since there old I don't want them at the top.

MuGiSouL 02-29-2008 05:17 PM

thanks

cardealercheck 03-02-2008 01:15 AM

Can anyone who has it installed let me know if it will past post also or only future post

Charmedfan 03-19-2008 08:22 PM

Hey,
it works with 3.7 B6!
BUT I need to change one template edit in the TMS because it has changed so maybe you should look to the template edits again!

Good work!

It's only for the Future.

dlynx 05-07-2008 03:37 AM

Has there been any updates on this moving it from beta? and/or does anyone know how this works on a 3.7 Gold board?

Eq4bits 07-14-2008 11:27 AM

works fine on 3.7.2PL1

had to do the find/replace/add in newthread and newreply templates, but a simple copy/paste into the area in both between 'subject' and 'message'

Pure Dope 09-18-2008 02:53 AM
