Anyone heard from Analogpoint?
 

Hi guys ... I commissioned Analogpoint to do some coding for me at the end of November, but haven't heard from him since early December. Has anyone been in touch with him of late? Is he okay? Any news on when he might be back on board? Grateful for any news on him, or tips on how to contact him.

Good luck, but vBulletin.org is not really the placve to discuss third-party websites.

Analogpoint has contributed a number of MODS to the vbulletin community ... so I'm hoping he'll be back posting / providing support to his MODs soon! :)

Analogpoint is not returned here for the last month, so i suppose he have some reasons... maybe he have quit... or is dead!

being dead on the internet is not always physical you know Paul... and i will remember you that last year we lost a coder which had an accident and died... life is on the net too...

I remember, sad time. You do not expect it to happen to 'internet' people. But it brings it all home.

Hopefully he is OK, and hopefully twobob has not been scammed.

The reason I mention I hope this is not a scam, is that you'll notice the copyright at the bottom of his site has been changed to include 2008. This is a small testament to the fact the user has in fact been online, this year.

actually the year 2008 can be automated in php like it is in vbulletin...

Ah, good point. But in practice I believe few do this? I certainly see many websites a few days late in updating, large companies too. But I guess we have no way to tell. :)

my idea is that he stoped coding for vB... if you read on his site, he never talk about vbulletin... freelancers always talk about their tools...

anyway... his wordpress plugin is outdated as well.. lol

.. hey, nothing negative here, we try to learn what's going on with him.. ;)

I've gone a month without checking vb.org... I assume the OP has an email or other contact info, I would suggest using that.

Hi All - thanks for your tips ... I've sent Analogpont PMs and emails, but haven't heard from him since early December. I think a close family member may have had some health issues - and that's keeping him otherwise busy (family comes first!). If anyone hears how he's going, please make a post so we know he's okay.
