Installation & Update Instructions:

1. upload content of "upload" folder to your forums root directory.
2. Import xml product file (If you edited Templates from previous Installations please revert them)
3. Start http://www.yourdomain/forum/vbtube_install.php.
After runing it, delete vbtube_install.php file from your Server.
4. configure vbTubePRO_lite at admincp/vbtube/options

start vbTubePro_lite with:

Is it possible to stop people from uploading images?

You mean at the Pro Version ? Yes,

Here are the Options for each Usergroup Permission :

Can use vbTubePRO
Can add Videolinks
Can Add Urls of Images
Can Upload images
Can edit own Files
Can delete own Files
Can Moderate (Can delete and edit all Videos and Images)

Set this both off and no Photo can uploaded :)

i have vbtube working fine on my board and i never used this hack.It was another hack that was posted then removed from here - it also allows u to embed vbtubes videos in your posts.

this does have a lot more features than the other version so how it work exactly.
We know it grabs and shows youtube videos but for it to add them to a page do members submit their videos and then u allow them on the page etc

What happens when the video sites change the file location for the images?

While its not likely, it is possible that this would result in a lot of destroyed thumbnails unless this is storing a copy of the thumbnail on the vbtube pro server. Can you confirm this detail?

Also, will it ever be possible to add to multipe categories?

What happens if a bigger player comes out, will it break the page? There doesn't seem to be a standard video size these days.

I dont know in what kind of location maybe youtube will change the images ?
This i can say, when i saw the location and if theres a way to fix i will do it..

It is possible at vbTubePRO to add the thumbnail extra. you can upload it to your server and add the url of the image there..

if a bigger player comes then we will make some template changes.

you can add categories how many you like ? do you mean subcategories ?

Its not just youtube. Its stage6, google, VEOH, and about 10 others. :) (pro, not sure about this one)

Personally, I'd rather upload to their servers and keep mine clean :eek: But, then again, video upload isnt any part of my business.

In the same way you should be able to upload an image as an attachment to a post, you should make it possible to do with images related to videos so that you no longer have to worry about this in the future.

Gripping the flv video would result in a lawsuit from those sites you are stealing videos from.
