vBulletin 1.X
Hi guys,
I am going to assume vB has a version 1...does anyone have screenshots of it? I would be interested to see what the original script looked like in its time. Cheers. |
vBulletin 1 was a rewrite of UBB.classic, but in PHP/MySQL. They sported the same features. I have never seen it so I can't comment on the look.

I can provide you with screenshots of Windows 1.0 :D
|
Wasn't it also the basis of vB Lite? Because some sites still run that even now, and a few will probably still run the pay for vBulletin 1.0
If it is, these might be some decent examples, since vB Lite seems to be a stripped down version of it (don't ask why people are still running software which is about 7 years old): http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...22&btnG=Search Edit: vBulletin 1.1.3 I think is still being run on a wide range of sites run live. I know that's probably security hell, but yeah, some sites still run the 8 year old software online in a production environment: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...22&btnG=Search |

Could you imagine upgrading from 1.1.3 to 3.7.0 Beta 4?
Especially on a particularly large board 1.1.x board (if there is one). |

If they do upgrade its going to be a HUGE change. |
Im a member of a very big forum that was running 1.1.6 until about a year ago, then they finally upgraded, I think they had to go to 2.2.9 first, and then to 3.X
go to web.archive.org and see how a lot of sites looked in the past, you can see vbulletin.org running vb1 |
they load nice and fast though;)
bring back lite! |
