Admin Password lost - URGENT
 

Hi

Today morning, i hd install mod from Vbulletin. after that all is well. But when i open my account, it say password wrong. i hv try it again and again. but no success.

When i use lost password, but i hv not recd any email from them. When i use other username and it works. But not admin username. Why is it so.

PLease help me to resolve it. Do the needful urgent.

upload tools.php to your admincp dir and run it from a web browser, you will need your customer number to access the file, reset your password, then remove the tools.php file.

where do i find tools.php from

in your vBulletin folder from vb.com

Download vbulletin from vBulletin.com, extract files and look in the 'do_not_upload' folder.

But it appear to be blank page. i hv install properly in admincp folder. but it appear to be blank page. Why so.

Try uploading it again, make sure you're uploading to the correct directory.

Re-download the package from vBulletin.com and upload it again, making sure you replace the file.

what will happen to my database file, will it change or not. Do tell me.

Nothing will happen, just upload the tools.php file, not the whole package.

PS. Please stop private messaging me with every reply you make, it doesn't do anything to expedite your request.

So you've downloaded a new package from vBulletin.com and uploaded it again? Have you checked if it's uploading in binary mode?

I guess you have to download your own vb and get the .php from there , cause no one can give away his own files. it's against the vb rules

Hi cagbaazee, do you want a advice? Go to you PhpMyAdmin Sql and on your data base find Admin Table or User Table and change password. Regards
