Spider-XV2 ($40 skin for free!!)
 

Since I have now moved away from PHP-Nuke completly, and am going to design for vBulletin, I decided to convert one of my nuke commercial products to vBulletin, and GIVE IT AWAY!

Thats right, "Spider-XV2" has been released for vb.

*SKIN INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN THE PACKAGE*

Here is what this FREE skin comes with:

- Matching categories images
- Matching Navigation bar
- Matching Link bar
- Custom coded postbits, with matching images as well
- Flash navigation, that can be easily edited from a simple XML file
- Blank Header image
- Various psds to custom the skin a bit.

Far as I know, skin should work with 3.7 without any problems as well. I had a few testers check it out, but myself has not personally tested it.

This skin should work very smooth with 3.6.x

Sorry to those of you who have downloaded it. I found a small error, the flash url in the skin was wrong.

I have fixed this issue, and have re-uploaded the fixed version.

Once again, sorry for the troubles. Skin should work flawlessly now.

Great skin. However I noticed when I tried to revert the Footer template it came up with the error that there is a "malformed <if> on line 80"; there was no corresponding <if>. I would have corrected it myself but I was note sure where to put it. Or can I just revert it without any problems? Thanks.

xipher offers superb support for all of his skins..commercial, custom, and free as well..i have never found a better person to deal with than xipher. I use only xipher skins.

BTW if you guys wanna check out the xipher skins in action.. I have everyone of them installed and each member at my site can choose which skin they want to use so you can see them running in live action. www.vicrosdesigns.com you can check them out. just a little FYI for everyone who wants to see them running.

For some reason it does not work with the CMPS system. I just has a bunch of boxes with red X's in them on the CMPS page. The forum page works great though.

That is odd. It should work just fine. If you uploaded the skin to your root, the layout should read like this: public_html/skins/Spider-XV2/

And if you have your forum installed in a folder named "Forum" in your root, then it will throw the images off on the cmps, and vice versa.

Check this out and see if that is the problem. If its not, then we can try something else.

How can I fix the images in the CMPS area?

So I take it your cmps is in this layout: public_html/index.php, correct?

If so, I would recommend to leave your forum folder like it is, and simply upload the skin again, this time to your public_html folder.

It should break down like this here:

public_html/skins/Spider-XV2 <----for it to work with your cmps

public_html/forums/skins/Spider-XV2<----for your forum to work

In other words, you will have it uploaded in 2 different spots. If you edit the flash navigation XML file, be sure to edit it twice. Once for your cmps, and once more for your forum.

I hope this helps your problem, and if it dont, we will continue till we get this right. =)

really nice skin and even better when its free but i wont be using it as it looks gfx intensive to me.I prefer Lite skins but excellant share m8

It works. But there is only one other thing. Where is the drop-down menu to select another style in the footer?

I usually take them out on my skins, but it can be re-added very very simply.

This is an awesome skin, one thing I cant figure out though is how to input the calendar option into the navigation bar. I have other skins on the site and it does show up on the others. I just cant figure out why its not showing up on this skin. Any suggestions?

it does not give you the option at the bottom of the page to change skin ???

@ Hunnty: You will have to manually open the navbar template from the styles menu and add the link.

@ Extreme24: I have had a few testers install it on 3.7 beta, and they have not reported any errors as far as the skin goes. I myself have yet to check it out.

Just put this code into the footer. You may need to tweak it, and move the changer around using tables, so it will suit your needs.
