Link Checker Bot [rs,mu,etc] allready have a scricpt wanna code to a cron
 

i have made a script to check links for all the big uploading sites
[megaupload, megashares, sendspace, medaifire, rapidshare.com, rapidshare.de]
im wondering if some one can recode it to work with cron [auto check]
maybe make a bot or something
and you know auto check links in [code] tag and move the threads with dead links to a forum made for dead topics
maybe work by a percent if 50% links are dead or so to trash it

its a very good idea!

yeah well i have the code for all the sites listed in the top post its just a matter of getting it into a vb type bot or cron.....

How does this work? Do I install in root directory? How do I set it to check certain forums? Im just a bit confused with no instructions on how to get this to work.

its not a bot , import this
site.com/linkchecker.php or site.com/forum/linkchecker.php
will be your link and this is used to check links that people post
allthough it does have to be manually checked by hand
if omly somebody can recode it into a bot...

i dont understand how to install it or where to install it

there jerkoffs its not hard to make view source a few times compile from a few sites and test it out, thats a joke to want to charge for the script but i can see charging for the bot , but i guess we will never have a bot on vb , the coders probally wont make for all the people who have a little download section on there board , because they frown at it , I dont run a warez site so im not looking for this to run the next Warez-BB but it would be nice for the little download section i do have , anybody agree?

I do more than agree, I know a few guys playing around with the script i mentionend in my prior post.

Thats why I reacted, not in an angry way, just sharing whats already free to the public.
I would pay for a bot, no doubt, but having so skilled friends like mine I'd rather wait, cuz I have no hope for VB going ahead and creating a bot, who's main function would be checking links to pirated software ;)

When ever my friends have something ready I will ask their permission to share, IF, okey'd by VB of course.

i configed it check links in all forums everyday and very fast, i dont use VBB shedule, because:

it will make your fourm slow if you have to check all links in your forum.
