Forum functionality for social groups

As titile says and as many requested this at vb.com, there is no chance that we will get full forum functionality in 3.7 for social groups.

Current message board is just not enough for serious group goals.
I need
- threads
- attachements
- polls
- etc. etc
which is all in forum functionality already

Thanks to anybody who can do this or who need this and want to share it .-)

I second that.

Looking at the amount of people requesting the ability for groups to create threads, be it in their own forums or not (in the 'not' scenario with group limited viewing rights of certain posts) has sure been reason for debate on vb.com and I think many people will love to have groups to have more flexibility and an actual feeling of usage. Now it's just like dropping comments in one thread, with no possibilities for diversity in it.

You can already have invite only groups. I'm one of those on VB.com whom wanted this and it's not going to be in it now as it's finally in RC stages. Hopefully someone will take it upon themselves to make it. Either that or have the Commune updated for 3.7.
