What's on your Holiday List?

What's on your Holiday List?

what are you planning to buy this holiday? (for family or self)

deezelpope 12-14-2007 04:47 PM

I REALLY want a Dyson vacuum cleaner! But more importantly, I just want to spend time with those I love...husband, kids, extended family and friends.

My husband bought me tickets to the Bon Jovi concert and himself a new scanner for his comics, I bought all three seasons of Deadwood on DVD for us, a game for my daughter, a CD for my son, and fleece fabric to make four knot blankets, one for each of our kids.

nexialys 12-14-2007 05:05 PM

i have most of the things on this list... the only gift we planned at the last moment was the Canon XTi we bought last week... other than that, we're just planning another birth in the next 3 weeks, so we can't afford to be bothered with a lot of things in the house.. lol

BrandiDup 12-14-2007 05:09 PM

None of the above, really. I got the Wii for the kids because I know they'll love it and we'll obviously get the have some fun with it also. Other than that, we don't have any other big ticket things on the list this year. I just did buy a laptop a few months ago so that was my big present :p

Wayne Luke 12-14-2007 05:20 PM

There isn't anything that I want. Nothing on that list is within any budget that I know. My children are allowed to spend $20 per person maximum. My wife and I usually only spend a couple hundred dollars on each other and probably $300 on each kid. That is it. Most other family members have a $50 limit on gifts. Quite frankly, I would be happy with a pair of slippers and a nice new robe.

A new pair of "super gigantic" foam novelty hands.

I'm with you Wayne. These are the most comfortable I've ever owned. I'm on my third pair :)

Chris M 12-16-2007 12:48 AM

I have no use for a Nintendo Wii, XBox 360 or PS3, I already own 2 laptops and 2 desktops so there is no need to get one of them, HDTV doesn't interest me at the moment, it's not mainstream in the UK yet lol, and I don't buy blu-ray discs, and I don't need surround sound as I'm never at home enough to warrant it...

I'd settle for just a nice peaceful christmas...

Chris

I'm down for better health for me and my loved ones as well.

Interesting. That looks like a slip-on to me. I guess over here in the islands we consider slippers opened-toe like the images below:

Of course there are different styles and material, indoor and outdoor types. We generally wear them outside if we're not wearing shoes. Indoor wear sometimes when we have hard surfaces such as tiles or wooden floors. Though, we don't wear outside wear inside the house. I never understood that about many parts of the mainland. :)

Wayne Luke 12-16-2007 12:50 PM

I am talking shoes you wear to keep your feet warm while in your pajamas. Locally, we just call the above pictures sandals or "flip-flops".

As far as wearing shoes in the house, we don't wear shoes inside. Another reason slippers would be nice as it would add another barrier between the tile and the feet. Socks are too confining.

Haha I would like anything on that list, but I know im not getting any of that.

They would make a perfect combination with Elisabeths/Danny's pink dress.

I was in Youngstown area once. Did some programming for one of the local banks there back in the 90s. Visited during the summer but did get to spend lunch in the basement of the restaurant that we were at because there was a tornado sighting.
