Sports - do you watch or play?

I want to hear about everyone's favorite sports to watch and/or participate in.

Football? Baseball? Hunting? Soccer? Don't like sports? Love them all?

I'm not a huge fan of watching any sports on TV, but actually going to any kind of game is a lot of fun. I bet I could even get into hockey if I were actually there watching :p

I come from a family of hunters, but I don't hunt. I'd probably knock myself out with the gun and cry if I actually shot anything. :(

If I had to pick a fav, I'd say football. It's the most entertaining for me. I can't really get in to baseball or most others.

Im a Cheesehead. Love watching football. Actually watching my team(Packers) play the Raiders. Other than that watching other sports on tv is boring. I like playing basketball though.

BrandiDup 12-09-2007 04:55 PM

Oh MAN, I can't believe I forgot my favorite sport. LMAO.

I'm a huge UFC fan! I don't know why this slipped my mind! I can't stay wrestling like WWE (way too much drama, I don't even watch soap operas b/c I can't stand the cheesy acting :p ) but I like the real MMA stuff like UFC and Pride. I'm really excited to see Hughs and JSP duke it out later this month :D

I'll watch sports if I go to a family member's house and its on television. Like Thanksgiving. At home, we never have them on though. I haven't even watched the Superbowl for the last few years. Before it was only for the commercials and I can watch those on Youtube now.

I used to watch baseball but after the last Major League Baseball strike, I can't support the players anymore. They are too greedy and have priced the cost of a game out of the reach of the average family. I used to love going to Dodger games when I was growing up. It cost about $30.00 for my dad, myself and two brothers to go. $4.00 seats and refreshments. Now you would be lucky for one person to go for that price. However, about half a mile from my house is a minor league baseball stadium (Class A team for the Boston Red Sox). So we walk to the stadium a few times a year to watch a game. Only costs about $70.00 for a family of 5 to watch the game and get refreshments.

My my... hum, what sport do i actually play ?!... fathering is one... i'm also the summer-coach for the soccer team of my son, and i'm the director of the amateur sync-swim team of my daughter... she's on her first year, but already have the level of a senior.. lol

I used to when I was younger, but as I've got older I've not had time to exercise as much so I'm quite unfit at the moment. I'm not overweight or anything like that but I have asthma so being unfit, and having asthma makes it even more difficult to get back into shape. I've been so busy working this year, but that's coming to a close now so I'll have some free time and I plan to get back in shape and run the London Marathon this year :)

Romeos Tune 12-16-2007 06:09 PM

For me it's tennis, bowling and shooting pool. Wait, is billiards a sport? lol

I love watching football. Mainly The Boyz. They're fixing to play here in less than an hour.

Interesting that you've named those three sports because if I were to select three it would be those as well. Pool (mainly 9-ball) would be at the top followed by tennis. I practically lived at one of the pool halls here. :)

Romeos Tune 12-16-2007 07:01 PM

You're not from Oklahoma are ya? I need a new teammate for a 9-ball league that knows what they're doing. :D

Freesteyelz 12-16-2007 07:12 PM

Hehe. Nah, I'm from Hawaii. :)

That's rather contradicting, isn't it? :p

How so? Cuz I happen to live in Viking territory? Hun, I was BORN a Packer fan! And The Pack and Vikings have always been rivals. Living in Minnesota does NOT a Viking fan make! I'll never be one. Cuz they suck...always have.;)

Freesteyelz 12-17-2007 01:34 AM

Ahh...Out of context it would appear that you were rooting for both Vikings and Packers. Mah bad. :)

deezelpope 12-17-2007 01:36 AM

Ahhh, I think I see where you might've thought that...I meant that I especially like to see the Packers kicking the Vikings' butts! Sorry about that!;)

Freesteyelz 12-17-2007 01:39 AM

It's the forgiving season. :)

I watch - Ice Hockey, nascar and baseball
I participate in - shooting pool and bowling, altho I'm no good at either one, and would never join a team

Freesteyelz 12-17-2007 03:16 AM

O?...Pool and bowling too? Just like Romeos Tune and me. Hmm. :)

Ohiosweetheart 12-17-2007 03:27 AM

yep I love to play both, just no good at either. I am, however, good for comic relief :p

Freesteyelz 12-17-2007 03:41 AM

Pool is a great game to relax and have fun. :)

Romeos Tune 12-17-2007 09:13 AM
