What's your favorite holiday movie?
What movie do you love watching during the Holidays?
Mine definitely has to be Home Alone 2 and A Christmas Story. |
I always enjoy National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Elf.
|
i like the old christmas movies of the 70's, but they are not on tv anymore...
|
There's usually a Bond movie on, and I like most of them.
|
I love A Christmas Story and Home Alone (both of them) also! I also love the Lampoon movies... hilarious.
One of my favorite newer movies is BAD SANTA. I couldn't stop laughing during that movie, and I also thought Elf was pretty cute. The Santa Claus was one that I enjoyed watching with my kiddos. |
the only Christmas Film i would suggest is "Family Man" with Nicolas Cage... not only because it is a good film, but also because it is not only related to christmas... :)
|
Err...I'll list movies and shows I look forward to during the holidays and throughout the year. :D
Christmas Carol (original one with Reginald Owen) Red Skeleton's Christmas Dinner The Santa Clause (1,2; I didn't see 3 yet) Home Alone (1 & 2) Scrooged A Christmas Story Elf The Snowman/Father Christmas Night of the Meek (classic Twilight Zone episode with Art Carney) Frosty The Snowman Mickey's Christmas Carol A Charlie Brown's Christmas Garfield's Christmas Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town The Year Without A Santa Claus Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer Muppet Christmas Carol Last Holiday Die Hard Gremlins (1 & 2) Flinstone's Christmas Pacman's Christmas And so on... :D |
Home Alone 1 + 2 definately :)
|
The Ref is about as good as it gets. :)
|
Frosty the Snowman.
|
<i>Home Alone and Home Alone 2 top my list of holiday favorites, then National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Love Actually, and Bad Santa.</i>
|
Apparently, I'm a couch potato - I've seen all of the above. :D
Home Alone + Elf + Santa Claus - for my kids no, not for me ;) |
At Christmas time, it's A Christmas Story. Show me how the piggies eat!
|
I have seen them all but my favorites are:
Miracle on 34th Street (1947 version) A Christmas Story Bad Santa Scrooged and the Santa Claus series. The first two are kind of nostalgic. I grew up on Miracle on 34th Street and A Christmas Story came out the year I got my first gun. |
Forgot about Bad Santa, Badder Santa is a new favorite holiday movie.

A Christmas Story is my all time favorite, I think. I love the 24 hour marathon TNT has every Christmas...hopefully they continue this year.

Danny, I double-dog dare you to watch the entire marathon! :D;):p |
LOL, I can definitely watch the entire marathon...as long as there is a laptop by my side and some food. :)
|
I've gotta get it from NetFlix for the holidays...my roommate has never seen it, can you believe that?!
|
:O
Netflix rocks BTW. |
Totally rocks!!:up::D

I invariably watch the Dead Movies by Romero, nothing says xmas like zombie mayhem ;) You don't want to know what I watch on Halloween. <insert evil emoticon>

In that case Halloween, original Evil Dead, And generally whatever is newly available on DVD. |

Have you watched any of the Lucio Fulci flicks? As a kid I watched City of the living dead several times just watched it again recently and nothing beats the blood and gore that missing from the big budget horrors nowadays. |

Haven't seen any of Fulci's movies (that I can remember), but am currently wading through Dario Argento's back catalog, and think i have a few Mario Bava titles sitting on my desk. Trying to locate, I think it's a Bava movie, but the one considered as the first "slasher" movie, figure I'll get to it eventually. Very few good horror movies being made at the moment, though anything by either Brad Anderson or Neil Marshal is worth dialing into imho. |
The original Halloween was not bad...I think I liked 4 the best of the series. The newest one was rather disappointing I thought.
For a while now I've been searching for good horror movies at Blockbusters Online and local shops here. I generally find the foreign made movies better than the western ones because they play with the mind and less of the gory and shock. |
It's not really pertaining to Christmas but it's always on right around Christmas..... The Wizard Of Oz. I don't watch it as much as I used to back when I was married. Can't stand to see my ex. She was the wicked witch. :D
