Random question of the day: ALCOHOL!
 

So, let's talk about our favorite type of alcoholic drink :)

Are you mostly a beer drinker? If so, do you have a favorite type? Mixed drinks? Straight shots? Champagne? Wine? Do you have any favorite seasonal drinks that you like to drink during the holidays?

I'm a beer drinker only. Very rarely will I take a straight shot or drink any type of mixed drink, wine, wine cooler, etc. I prefer the taste of a good beer over something sweet and fruity, and I can also enjoy it and pace myself without getting too drunk too fast :)

Right now, I'm enjoying the new Miller Chill. It's sort of like a Corona that already has the lime in it. Very light and crisp, and I don't feel full if I drink more than one or two (which is what I hate about the heavier beers). I also enjoy Corona or Corona Light with a lime. And if I'm drinking something a little heavier, I enjoy Michelob Honey Lager.

I DON'T do eggnog :eek: so that's out for me during the holidays :D

Homemade Mead and Beer are my primary drinks. If I run out of homemade beer then its microbrewery time. I am not a fan of pilsners or lagers. I prefer ales and stouts. Occasionally, I'll find a good pale ale to drink and am a big fan of porter style beers. I don't drink much from the large American Breweries limiting myself to Samuel Adams if a mass-produced beer is the only thing available. Their Amber Bock is good.

I like taking shots. :)

I mostly drink White Lighting (AKA the finest local drink ;p) and just about any type of Whisky (Jim and Jack begin my favs).

I've also become a fan of Grey Goose vodka. :)

Rum preferably lately, spiced in a coke/drpeper/pepsi.

I drink ice wines when I can find a bottle and a good year.

I prefer mixed drinks or shots more often than not. Don't much enjoy beer, or I've not had a beer that I liek the taste of.

Double shots of Jager bombs anyone? first round on me

I haven't had an alcoholic beverage in over 10 years.

What do you folks think of Balvenie ? Its a type of whisky.

I don't drink. :)

I mostly drink Lager. I also enjoy dark rum with blackcurrent or coke. Morgan's Spiced Rum also goes down well.

I guess that means I win by default? ;) (we had a drinking contest planned for when I visited your side of the pond. ;))

I'll never drink again. That kills my stomach so badly. I had some regular beer and god, I hated it.

Not to mention, I tried Vodka which contain 40% alcohol. That completely destroy my stomach.

I'll stick to drink like soda and juice and of course, water.

Guinness.
