X TV 1.0 (an additional radio and TV add-on) (AKA Adult TV)
 

Note: this code is re-used from Dream's Radio and TV add-on version 1.4 with Dream's permission, and approval from the VB.org administrators.

This will add a radio and TV library to your forum that can be shown only to certain usergroups. It can be used independently of Dream's add-on, since it has it's own tables and phrases. So, you can have a regular radio and TV station add-on that you offer to your guests and members (Dream's add-on) and also this one that you can show only to select usergroups.

Features:
- Users can add / delete / edit own stations
- Favorite stations
- Report broken / duplicate stations
- Full AJAX
- Plays Windows Media Player and Real Player streams (does NOT support .flv files such as those found on YouTube and other sites)
- window popup that shows who rated each station
- popup window to view TV stations in bigger player windows
- "can view add-on" permission
- user name markups follow displaygroupid
- Navbar link is only viewable by the usergroups you select
- Includes an XML file with nearly 50 adult streaming channels, so please make sure you are an adult and old enough and want to view that type of material before uploading the xml. You can use this add-on without uploading the XML, but please consider yourself warned. You can also download the file and simply upload the XML file to dream's add-on if you want.

After you install be sure to set usergroup permissions to allow or disallow certain usergroups from seeing the content. This is in addition to the link conditionals in the navbar.

i installed... but the admincp import/export link..... is giving me error 404 page.... hmmmm

Just like Dream's addon- you can manually add $header and $footer to the xstations template, though it is in a popup window and should be fine without them, but it is up to you.

As far as getting more stations - find a site that has streaming videos you want to add and view the source and look for the URL to add. Please keep in mind that the video must be a realmedia or windows media compatible video - this does NOT support sites that play .flv files

Can you lean toward a TV HACK more than a Radio one? since Dream's hack focus more on radio stations :(

I did not include any radio station XML's in this mod, but since it is simply an embedded realplayer and WMP they both support any type of streaming signal - either radio or TV - how a user decides to use this is up to them. If I find any adult-oriented radio stations I will make an xml for those, but I don't envision that.

Sounds interesting actually - don't know if I'd have much of an audience for it though LOL
AND wondering what on earth TBP installed for - have another forum on your mind???? :P

Seems to work fine, except for the loads of "buffering" pauses in video, which must be a server loading issue?

I'd like to move the link from the Navbar to the drop down "Quick Links" at the bottom and just make it available for Admins (usergroup 6). I'm not a coder, so could someone post for me the template code and where to out it that will accomplish that?

In your navbar template look for:
after that add:
That will add the link in the "Miscellaneous" section of the quicklinks, below "Who's Online." Change the 5, 6, 7 to the usergroup ID's of the usergroups that you want to allow to see the link ( I included the other usergroups in order to show other people how to add multiple usergroups, but since you want to make it available only to admin's then change the 5, 6, 7 to 6).

I downloaded this and have marked it as installed, but have not 'installed' it. I don't really want 2 radio hacks and since my members have to agree that they are 18 or older or they are denied registration anyways would it be possible to use this XML to add the stations to the existing Radio/TV hack by Dream?

Let's say that I can get all the channels that they have [http://www.rockmetv.com/default.asp] how can I do to get the XMLs/Links?

I'm sorry I have no idea how to get the code from that site - in fact I can't even view any videos - I dunno what plugiins you need since I have most all of them, but all of the videos om that site come up blank for me.

Do you have any other XMLs of other adult video sites?The default ones included took abit of buffering time.Will be great if more are added,thank you.:)

could be - not sure - the source of the included feeds is actually unimportant, since (as with Dream's mod) the end-user can easily add their own
