Module CMPS: VBay

I haven't seen one around so I thought I would release it here.
This is a quick down and dirty module.

Adds a Module which shows the last 5 Auctions
See screenshot for details

Dependencies:
VbA CMPS
Vbay

How to install

Admincp => vBa CMPS => Download / Upload Module
Click [Browse]
Browse for the file "auctions.module"
Submit ;)

Tested on Vb 3.6.8
VbAdvanced CMPS v3.0 RC2

Please Click Installed if you use this. This is my first release here. Thanks!!!

The image file in the zip is just a screenshot. You do not need to upload the anywhere. Glad it went flawless, please click installed, and thanks for the demo!!

You would have to have downloaded a free hack to vbulletin called VBA CMPS

you can find it here http://www.vbadvanced.com

That would be because I hard coded the $ in the code. I will look at this after work to see if it can pull the sign from the database.

Y'know, the thing is so hot I hate to say anything at all but...

If the seller put in an image, it would be great to see a thumbnail there but that would only be if you are looking for something for it.

and change the $ with what u want on thisline :

Using Vbulletin 3.6.4 CMPS 3.0 RC2

When activating the VBAY module, most users get "page cannot be displayed" for the homepage...
Strangely enough, it does disply @work with IE6, but home with IE7 it doesnt.
When I deactivate the module it does work.

Interesting. I cannot reproduce and with 43 downloads, I don't think anyone else is having any issues. It may be conflicting with another module you have installed? Try disabling all other 3rd party modules and keep this one activated and see if it works.:confused:

After more testing, found out its also happening with IE6, its just strange it shows no problems @ work.
I will disable other modules, hope that works...

Should they fall off this list when the auction is closed? I have no active ones but they are all still showing in the module.

This module doesn't differentiate between open and closed auctions. If you wish to show only current and active auctions find in your forumroot/modules/vba_vbay.php file:
Find;

Code:

SELECT id, name, price, completetime, bids

FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "vbay_items

ORDER BY id DESC LIMIT 5

");

and replace with:

Code:

SELECT id, name, price, completetime, bids, completed

FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "vbay_items WHERE completed = 0

um ok you know how it says Seller group like the group that can sell stuff? how do u make it so its all the groups not just 1 like so all the groups can sell stuff

Well, I haven't looked into this yet. Have you tried posting in the VBay forum for this request so that Blaine (The Vbay Coder) may be able to help you? I will look into this tomorrow but you should ask the coder first.

Are you talking about a template edit of vbay to show the last 5 auctions? I think I know what you mean so let me check inot that.
