My forum ( vBulletin version 3.6.4.)
http://www.nscale.org/forum/index.php
work very well, but for two days only 2 link show a white page,
private.php (view Private Messages) and search.php (all SEARCH and NEW POSTS).
show a completely white page without errors
I, in the time, have active any add-ons, but I have not installed new add-ons or plug-in in the last days,
I have add only little mod for the Google Search in home page and not have modificate template!

I have disabled the Google Search mod, I have restored header, headinclude and phpinclude templates with the original templates, I have restored private.php and search.php files with the original files,
but nothing !!! private.php and search.php continue again to show a white page.

why? ....could it depend $session variable ?

who help me?

thanks

Disable all your plugins/products/modifications and try using a default style and see if you get problems.

I have Disable all plugins/products/modifications :
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
but return this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: print_portal_output() in E:\wwwroot\forum\index.php on line 48

I don't want to exclude all mods installed in years of work
I have not installed new add-ons or plug-in in the last days
and the forum worked well up to yesterday

I have had that happen before and it was because the last line in those pages somehow ended up with an extra character in them. I copied the last line from another page that works and replaced the last line in the non-working page and then it worked. I'm not sure if that is your problem though but you may want to look into it.

I check all template, the problem is in $session variable

SESSIONURL is correctly in my headinclude:

Quote:

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var SESSIONURL = "$session[sessionurl_js]";
var IMGDIR_MISC = "$stylevar[imgdir_misc]";
var vb_disable_ajax = parseInt("$vboptions[disable_ajax]", 10);
// -->
</script>
but in HTML source the variable SESSIONURL is empty

IMGDIR_MISC and vb_disable_ajax is correct but SESSIONURL si empty

what is the file that send this variable as could I check
if it is corrupt ?

The SESSIONURL variable is blank for logged in users. Take a look at the source code for this page while you are logged in and you will see what I mean.

Check your webserver error logfile.

Some reasons:
- Out of memory
- Mod_security
- Hardened PHP/Suhosin

thanks Marco !!

sorry what is "Mod_security" ?
I dont have Apache server but IIS,
is there mod_security for IIS ?
and what is the file that send $session[sessionurl_js] variable ?

my web server is IIS

If you are running IIS, then my first suggestion would be to request your host to increase the memory_limit. If this does not help, review the webserver errorlog.

in php.ini :
memory_limit = 32M
post_max_size = 32M
upload_max_filesize = 32M

Marco van Herwaarden 10-15-2007 09:01 AM

memory_limit should be enough, but you could try asking your host to raise it to 64Mb.

Anything in the errorlog?

Now I try us. Thanks Marco

"private.php" file now work !!
I have added of the top file this code:

PHP Code:

if (empty($_REQUEST['do']))
{
$_REQUEST['do'] = "messagelist";

and now I read my list of the private messages .

....but "search.php" ( New Posts, Search, Find all posts by..., and Find all threads started by...) still doesn't work :(

however, I am convinced that the problem concerns the variable of session
type: " $vbulletin-> [session-]> [vars][ 'sessionurl_q']" OR $vbulletin->session->vars['sessionurl']
that for any motive don't come send to "search.php" page

:mad:

To troubleshoot this, please remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

If your problem still exists, please create a new Style with no Parent set. Now browse the forum using this new style, do you still have the same problems? If you are troubleshooting login or guest issues, you will need to set this style as board default in the vBulletin Options.

If that does not solve your problem, please open a support ticket.

PS did you check the server errorlog?

not yet as soon as I could check server errorlog I do

Marco van Herwaarden 10-15-2007 12:09 PM

Before trying all kind of other things, the errorlog should show the real cause.
