Info:
I'm using this to automatically welcome users in my "Introductions" sub-forum. You can customize messages and use it for any other auto-replying needs. You can write several messages (separated by |) and they will be used randomly in auto-replies. This work with subjects too.

See screenshots for details about features...


Note:
-This executes 1 simple query on forumdisplay but only in selected forums.
-Same simple query is also executed when user searches for new posts.


Installation:
-Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP: Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]


To set options:
Go to: vBulletin Options > Cyb - Auto Reply


Versions:
v1.0 - Aug 25. 2007.
-Initial release


Mark as INSTALLED to get support and updates.

That is seriously awesome! however it would look weird if they spammed in the intro section, and then my auto post says, thanks for your post, and welcome to the site.....

people would think i'm crazy lol

I also have another section, where I would like to auto reply with some info after they have posted ,but would need different text to be posted in that section.
Would be great if we could choose to select a different message for different sections as an option.

Read instructions.

Separate messages with | in "cybautoreply_messages" phrase and they will be used randomly in auto-replies. This is also possible with subjects.

There are direct links to used phrases on hack settings page.

It would be nice if we could create different auto replies for different forums.

i tried to edit the message but it seems that we can not use HTML on it , right?? if so is there anyway to fix it cyb ? ,

also if a special character like & is include with a username it will show like this & !

You can use BB codes, not HTML. We are inserting message into post which means we must follow posting rules. Most of us are not allowing HTML to be used in posts because of security reasons. So no html here.

Problem with ampersands will be fixed.
This can be added. I'll think about it.

i installed it all and get it up but its not working i out 4 in forum id thast the forum people make there intro threads in and user i out 5 thast me and i pressed save and made a thread and it dididnt work didnt welcome them

This reminds me then on the great QUICKCLIP Product which has currently a lot of bugs.

Maybe your addon can then bring back a little bit of this functionality

It's not fixed. Reply is created first time when someone opens target forum or searches for new posts.

This messed up my templates after I posted a post to see if it worked. I had to disable the product for now.

You can hover over the forum link to get the ID.

also all messages work for me - just had to do a few Intros to see them but it works fine

This has been working great, one thing I wanted to know is how to get it to post using it's signature I've set? So far it's posting without a signature.

my problems with this hack (i am using vb 3..6.8):

1) "Reply to unanswered threads only" doesnt work fine

2) and also only posting 1 reply for me.

If anyone would like this to post using a signature, you'll have to make the following edit to the plugin titled "Cyb - Auto Reply - RW".

Find towards the bottom of the plugin, this line:
ADD BELOW IT:
