cool, i guess. i thought it would use the other mod to know which forums have rss turned on. i only have one of my forums doing rss feeds. any chance on this being improved down the road to do what i am asking?

I've only got one slight issue, on my forum home after the RSS icon, and before the (number viewing) there is a underscore linked to the RSS feed, how do i get rid of that, thanks

I do. The icon show on all my forums, but I have some that dont have feeds - private members only forums.

can we get a conditional in to hide the icon on forums with no feeds pls?

Great idea. However, I might just go ahead and re-size the RSS feed icons a little since at the moment they do look a little large.

It's tied to the logged in user permissions. So if a user cannot see the forum they won't see the icon either.

As admin you'll probably see everything.

Feel free to resize, change or modify the icon. I just gave it along as an example.

Yes that is true, but still for members who can see forums with rss feeds disabled - when they click the icon they end up with a white page.

This is beacause guest has no access and therefore the RSS is not generated. It would be better if the icon did not show.

I'll add a conditional to check the activation of the option in the next release

I didn't install the product; I just used the code within it and manually added it to the templates where I wanted the RSS icon to appear.

I didnt install the code in the FORUMDISPLAY and seems to be working. What happens if I don't put the code in the FORUMDISPLAY?

I too would ask that this mod be tweaked so that only specific forums would show the icon... (forums that are populated by RSS). That may mean just an option for "Which forum numbers do you want this to display next to."
