This product is in beta

VBNow is a twitter.com like application for vbulletin communities.

It allows members of the community to send updates about moments in their lives just by telling what they actually are doing or planning. It also allows people to add friends and directly access their entries. Friends that are tracked by others are also visible.
The core is formed by the public timeline.

If activated on your forum it includes automated image verification and flood control.

SPECIAL

- image verification is driven by the vbulletin one make sure it's activated in your options
- don't forget to set the usergroup permissions
- don't forget to set the options of VBNow to your liking

I noticed that the templates are 'breaking' my table - perhaps an unclosed td or table?

I can provide pictures if you want. My theme is fixed-width, and when viewing any of the vbnow pages, my left side is fine, but my right side extends to the edge of the screen, and my right side page 'cap' (closing) doesn't show.

I removed a broken table and td it should be fixed.

I'm sure image verification has been turned on, but I do not see the Image Verification section while I'm trying to make a post. Please advice.

Please go to image settings and to user registration options and make sure they are both active an configured

I have a question about the time format. It says that I posted in MDT, although I have my UserCP options time zone set to CST. Or does MDT mean something else?

Oh, and quick suggestion on a phrase.

When viewing a member's Timeline, you see the following:

On this page you get an overview the entries of Username (Number of entries: 2).

I think this might be better said:

On this page you will see an overview of Username's entries (total: 2).

or something like that :)

I just installed it on my forum and it works great. /installed :)

i checked both image verification options (user registration) and image verification hack.., but i dont see it on your hack... my usergroup permissions are set right... the options are all set right.... dont know what the problem is...

Did you set all the vbulletin options of the app?

Do you get an error? Did you add the navbar template change?

this is what my screen looks like....... i went through everything... everything else shows perfectly... but the image verification image doesnt and i get the error... that says.., i need to select that..

You have a testuser for me so I can see the actual error?

Are you sure the verification settings are correct and the usergroups.

You must avoid guest being allowed to enter twits as it's linked to the userid.


Can view the vbnow application (advice YES for all usergroups except banned)

Can add posts the vbnow application (NO for guest, YES for other usergroups)

Can edit entries on the vbnow application (YES for moderator and administrator, NO for all the rest, this will allow all entries to be edited)

Can delete entries on the vbnow application (YES for moderator and administrator, NO for all the rest, this will allow all entries to be deleted)

Can edit own entries on the vbnow application (YES for all usergroups that have ADD permissions or own preference)

Can delete own entries on the vbnow application (YES for all usergroups that have ADD permissions or own preference)


Also the image verification in vbulletin options may be correct but an image is only loaded if there is a user logged in in the vbnow application or forum



The image settings are located in options / user registration and image settings.

i only gave usergroups uregistered access so you could see......

Did you edit templates ? As it's almost like he's just not loading the image check template.

I cannot simulate that error except when I mess with the template or the template call.

Please upload all original files and revert the templates before uploading the products again.

this isn't really blogging. This is just community member shout out.

I have a full blog version too with the vb editor and calender support.

Version 1.0.2 is now online with a permanent fix for this matter.

One small thing though, is it possible to have an option to turn off image verification for the vbnow section only?

I'll put that in the next release. Hopefully you won't be bothered by spammers.
