WoW Characters

This mod allows users to input their World of Warcraft character information. It stores Name, Class, Race, Level and Server. Once the information is entered images for class and race show up in the postbit. When you hover over an image the character information is displayed. If you click an image you will be taken to that characters armory page.

There are install directions and server lists for both US and EU servers.

Nice Hack ,,,

Thanks Sir ,,

XeroSolution 08-15-2007 05:33 PM

Yes, Thanks for the hack.

I do however have a question.

When you go to click on the char image it pops up with the info you get when you persay click the members name from their postbit. I see the redirect link to the armory but that will only open if you right click and open link. I tried a few times to edit it so that it would do this but I am missing something.

<if condition="$post[field16] or $post[field18] or $post[field19] or $post[field20] or $post[field21]"><a href="http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=$post[field21]&n=$post[field16]">

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Doing a regular click on the images for a character will open the armory in a new tab/window for either firefox or ie. Im not sure why you would need to right click on them.

If you can take a look on my site here http://www.clanofgamers.com/forums/s...0&postcount=15 it opens the user section. You can see that when you are highlighting over it; it shows the correct link in the bottom of the window to the armory but instead opens that user options pane..
Thanks.

I see. It is acting the same way as when you click on the username. Looks like you placed your postbit additions inside the div tag for the username. If you post your postbit here I will take a look at it.

XeroSolution 08-16-2007 02:30 AM

Yeap that fixed it. I went through the whole thing searching <div> to see where they all were and if they didn't have a close tag.

Thanks Very Much for the help and Especially for the hack, my members are going to love it!

Is there a way this can be set at certain subforums only?

I have never tried it but there is probably a way where you can use an IF statement to only have it show in a certain forum or for a certain usergroup.

Magnumutz 08-17-2007 09:59 AM

On subforums... that would be odd, maybe better for usergroups.

DF-inside 08-19-2007 07:36 PM

Well we got a multigaming forum, so noty only WOW players over there.
So basicly I want it to show only at our WOW forums.

Based off of the "World of Warcraft Profile Mod" posted quite some time back (2006)? It's been around for quite some time. Just thought you might wish to give credit if that's the case. :)

Nice edits, though. :) I still prefer the postbit to show only the main, anything else becomes too much clutter too fast, but that's my own preference. :)

Will this be updated?
