A very nice husband and wife came into my store the other day.

They said they were new to the neighborhood, and we asking general questions about Providence, and the computer industry.

Even though I have been hella busy lately, I put aside 15 minutes for chit chat.

They left, then I went back to work.

Today they came back. They asked me if I had a CD player, I said yes I do.

He said "Great, then I have a simple question for you", and handed me the CD below. They said they will be back tomorrow to pick it back up. They left quickly.

EDIT: I just recently added the yell at the end.

The last 15 seconds of the 2nd audio are very loud.

Talk about asking the same dumb question over and over and not informing you of anything.
Personally if thats someones idea of trying to scam someone, they have a couple of screws missing.

The look on his face was quite interesting as I handed him my "A Simple Answer" cd.

I did not record his face, I do not want any repercussions.

I gave him a call shortly before he showed up, just to make sure that he is stopping by today:

I told him I was shooting some jewelry for a website I was creating, so he did not question the digital camera hanging from my neck. Little did he know it was in video mode recording the whole ordeal :D

Ah, i needed a laugh, about time those people got what was coming to them.

I have some other plans for these 2 time wasters.

I will call them using my "Wilson Tarbuckles" character. I'll tell them I found a CD in the street, with their number on it, and I am interested.

I will play a door to door salesman; which will be right up their ally.

There are several places in R.I. that have webcams, like StarBucks, etc.

I can tell them to meet me there at a specific time. It will be fun to watch them show up. I'll post the URL of the live cam, so we can all watch them. Of course I'll never show up, and call them the following day with an excuse.

I can tell them I will be there between such and such a time, making them wait there for 30 minutes or so.

I can tell them I am originally from Washington, therefore when I give them my k7 number they are not suspicious (k7 numbers start with area code 206).

k7.net allows you a free phone number for voicemail only. The voicemail is emailed to you.

I have already set up the k7 number, give it a call and take a listen:

Where I can get an audio file of that for my own voice mail? ;)

If you see them again try giving them a simple punch to the face. No doubt that'll make them think twice about visiting again. :p

Brad, I have many screams like that from all the scammers I have talked to in the past.

He is not the polite Paul that I once knew. He now sounds like the perturbed Paul who has just witnessed a Fog Horn deployed into his ear in an enclosed room.
