[Naxon] mod_rewrite
 

This modifiction is in beta stage.
Not all files have rewrited address.
Soon, all files will have rewrited addresses ang I'll release the full version FREE, NO PRICE.

Examples:

To enter forum number two:
Regular way: forumdisplay.php?f=2
Rewrited way: forum2.html

To enter thread number two:
Regular way: showthread.php?t=2
Rewrited way: thread2.html

To enter page 3 of thread two:
Regular way: showthread.php?t=2&page=3
Rewrited way: thread2-3.html

To enter member number one called Naxon:
Regular way: by ID - member.php?u=1 OR by UserName - member.php?username=Naxon
Rewrited way: by ID - user1.html OR by UserName usernaxon.html

Wow...I think this is what I am looking for. Naxon please correct me if this is what it will do.

My forum is pointed to www.caraudiojunkyard.com/forums right now. I want to transfer everything so when you enter www.caraudiojunkyard.com it will enter the forums. But what i am afraid is all the links i have all over other forums and sites that it won't work since i transfer all my files to /root/. Will this mod allow all my links that are directed to my forums active?

I don't think you understood what this mod does...
Instead member.php?u=1, you can write user1.html or usernaxon.html (replace naxon with username).
In the full version \ next release I'll do just "naxon.html"... and more surprices I don't want to talk about them right niw ;)

Naxon, i've got a question for you... could you make an option for it to rewrite the member.php?u=164961 to zoint's interactive profile?

What exactly does this do? Your description is a bit unclear as to what exactly is going on here. I'm going to download it and try it on my test board see if I can figure it out. Maybe you should take some screen shots if that is possible or write up a better description please for us noobs... Thank you

How does it handle foreign characters? For example, I have a user named "Ðèstîñy." Will her profile page be displayed properly?

I had a question about SEO.

I installed one the other day and with the .htaccess I changed my extensions from .html to .ces

does this affect the SEO in any way? so I mean: does the SE record the .html faster than the custom .ces or doesn't it matter as long as its not a "dynamic" page?

I like my .ces cause its the initials of my company name and i've seen some other sites using this technique too, but I dont only want to make it look cool, I also want it to be functional and be recognized by a SE
