VB AnyMedia Player / Media Sites (youtube, google and many more)

Goldbrick Media system for vBulletin 3.6.x

Thanks to all who nominated or voted this for MOTM.

Some of you might be looking for Anymedia. Well this has replaced it. It's a total rewrite from the ground up. A huge thanks goes to Sir Adrian for creating the framework. He can't cook soup but he sure can code. :)

Why the name goldbrck?

From Wikipedia:
Quote:

Goldbricking, in today's terms, generally refers to staff who use their work internet access for personal reasons while maintaining the appearance of working.
From Urban Dictionary:
Quote:

Goldbricking: To loaf or goof around on the job. Supposedly an old union term describing laborers (or more specifically, bricklayers) who were going so slow, it was as if each brick were made of solid gold. One can alse be referred to as a "goldbricker".

Dude, I spent all day at work goldbricking - surfing the web, making long distance phone calls - basically just picking my ass.
Goldbrick uses the following third party Products:

rjmjr69 06-24-2007 12:44 AM

Just a tad bit late bro check new modifications under SEARCH

nix 06-24-2007 12:54 AM

I've see it. Doesn't do what I want it to do.

Dannyloski 06-24-2007 01:27 AM

thank you thank you!!!!! Finally my old tags work! First to install!

This one, IMHO, is wayyy better than the one you're talking about rjmjr69 ... This one has so many features available for it its crazy ... Thanks for the fix nix! Much appreciated!

nix 06-24-2007 02:50 AM

No problem. The other one has its place also. A lot of people will probably like what it does. I Just need this one to work again.

I'll be adding more sites and forum permissions and some of the other features Adult SEO's version had.

PoetJA-1975 06-24-2007 03:26 AM

WOW! I just finished posting a thread with the tags at http://jpicforum.info/general-chat/w...-him-3699.html - Unlike a lot of others - My anymedia modification has continued to work even from the 3.5 version!?!? Weird really - But anyway...

Does this hack support all the extentions including .wmv, mp3, etc like Crist's version.

Thanx = Excellent sharing!

Jacquii.

nix 06-24-2007 03:35 AM

Yes it will. I just updated some of the links for people who where having problems. I will also add other sites and some features that any of you might think would be a good addition.

I'm currently adding some sites right now.

jasculs 06-24-2007 03:54 AM

How do you use it with youtube and the other sites? I can't figure it out.

jasculs 06-24-2007 04:06 AM

Also are you able to add revver.com

Just copy the url from your address bar and highlight it and press the blue M button.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wpa2Qplm8M

Thats the youtube link you are looking for.

Same with 99% of the other sites. Just past the link, highlight and press M.

I'll look into it and if I can i'll release it in the next update.

Xplorer4x4 06-24-2007 04:33 AM

Now that imageshack support video hosting will you add that to the list assuming it is possible to code it in?

nix 06-24-2007 04:37 AM

Can you give me an example link?

I'm currently adding http://photobucket.com vids right now

jasculs 06-24-2007 05:01 AM

Here are example revver.com links. It would be cool if both types could work:

In bold s the id number of the video

hxxp://one.revver.com/watch/221880
hxxp://one.revver.com/watch/221880/flv/affiliate/71863

nix 06-24-2007 05:01 AM

Hornstar 06-24-2007 05:07 AM

Its in the zip folder in the folder called do_not_upload. Just click on the index.html.

Not sure what you meant from the rest of that.

Just delete them. Sorry about that. Thought I removed all of them.

Quote:

Mac OS X generates files called .DS_Store that can often create confusion for non-mac users. These files are essentially harmless. They often become an issue when a developer (on a Mac) creates an archive file (such as a .zip) for people to download. They are invisible in the Finder, so Mac users never know they exist. But when a user on Linux or Windows downloads the archive and extracts it, they'll see this file and then wonder what it's doing there. Is it important to the program they downloaded? Can they just delete it? In the past, I've created such .zip packages that (unknowingly) contained .DS_Store files. Then I've gotten emails wondering what those files were for. I've even been accused of including viruses in my downloads! And all the while I had no idea they even existed.

Queball_Beast 06-24-2007 10:36 AM

I did not get a readme file in my download,

Also, what about the DS_store, would your DS_store interfare with nex points system DS_store?
Quote:

Instalation instructions:
Upload all files from the /upload/ directory to the root of your forum, e.g. /forum/

There's one in every folder...I just ignored them.:D

OH, thanks Nix...:)

@Queball_Beast~Look in the do_not_upload file...

solinarius 06-24-2007 10:41 AM

That mod not working for me at all, i uploaded everything, changed tpls and nothing happeds, i checked by disabling other mods, but still same

nix 06-24-2007 10:43 AM

Just delete the DS_store files. When I get home I'll update this with those removed.

The readme file is in the "do_not_upload" folder. Just click on the index.hmtl.

I'll make this easier to find in a later release.

I have it on a site with VBSEO running and it works fine.

Did you do the file edits?
Did you give the usergroup permission to use it?
Did you enable the video sites?

Make sure you un-check the play with anymedia player for the video sites. It wont work with that checked. Its the settings at the bottom of the admin page in vb options. I'll make sure this is uncheck by default in a later release.

solinarius 06-24-2007 10:58 AM

Yes, im sure with everything that, and i unchecked like You said ^
but i stilll can see tag without parsing :(

nix 06-24-2007 10:58 AM

Where is the mp3 located at?

Queball_Beast 06-24-2007 11:03 AM

Sorry I found the "reame file" it`s in the do not upload folder install.html

deezelpope 06-24-2007 11:04 AM

<i>Yeah, that's what I told you...</i>

solinarius 06-24-2007 11:36 AM

that was just example, i tried few mp3 located on different serwers, and tried youtube.com for movies, just looks like mod is not installed, but it is. I had previous, bugfull version, maybe this is a problem.I dont have any idea.

nix 06-24-2007 11:44 AM

Can you PM me a link to your site and I'll take a look at it.

I also cleaned out the download folder from all the mac OS items since I'm on a windows right now.
