FreshFroot 06-01-2007 06:45 PM

Scratch that post kinda....

Once I refresh the page the signature goes away :)

txspaderz 06-01-2007 07:15 PM

Which posts does the signature show up in? I'm looking for a hack that will allow the sigs to show up in the last post of each thread, is that possible with this hack?

Thanks

theFAILURE 06-01-2007 07:35 PM

I have some threads that are over 50+ pages long, and some 200+ pages.

Hopefully this cuts some server load; some users have pretty long sigs :)

Nope, this hack allows only to show the sig of a user one time per thread page.

FleaBag 06-01-2007 08:24 PM

I've wanted this as a plugin for so long! Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately I see no change. Am I supposed to change a setting somewhere? Is that what the phrases are for? I can't work out what else they'd be for?

VBDev 06-01-2007 08:41 PM

The settinng is in the forum options :)

You can set it on a per forum basis.

letsjoy 06-02-2007 10:41 PM

Thanks alot for it :)

letsjoy 06-02-2007 10:44 PM

is only for member or works for guests too...for me its working for member only

theFAILURE 06-03-2007 12:22 AM

Works for guests on my board, check it out:

http://thescambaiter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8970

VBDev 06-03-2007 09:49 AM

For guest I don't really know as these could be different guests each time you know.

But as theFAILURE stated it seems to work :)

teach1st 06-03-2007 04:42 PM

Just what I needed and it works. Thanks!

The only thing I would add is an option to apply this to all forums globally instead of just forum-by-forum.

VBDev 06-04-2007 04:33 AM

Yep that's a nice idea.

I have not planned to update this hack right now but I'll do it soon.

Ranger187 06-05-2007 04:09 PM

Maybe this is redundant, but I have a main area with sub-forums, if I set the main area to allow only one sig, the subs still have it disabled. I have to turn this on in every area. Is there a way to turn it on for the whole hieracrchy, or just take a drink, and enable on every area? ;)

Ranger187 06-05-2007 04:23 PM

Ok, hack doesn't fully work. Same page, I see my sig 4 times out of 9 posts. But if I refresh the page, then it works. This is odd...

pcoskat 06-05-2007 05:16 PM

How does this new hack differ from the one posted here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=139689

It IS strange. Isn't it, my friend?

Ranger187 06-05-2007 09:29 PM

This differ from the fact that with my hack the sign of the users can appear on every page but only on their first post in the page if they have more than one post in the current page.

Nope I might not have think to that, we'll check that out in next release !

This is due to ajax I think as page is not refreshed when sending a new message through ajax. I haven't found yet the way to pass that :(

Ranger187 06-10-2007 05:47 PM

This has really cut down the monthly bandwidth on my forums. WEWT.

nnjj.net 09-18-2007 10:03 PM

AzaDiyaR 09-19-2007 12:44 AM

nnjj.net 09-19-2007 04:08 PM

VBDev 09-20-2007 10:43 AM

The option is the options of each of your forum :)

import-houston 09-21-2007 06:27 AM

kjhkjh 09-22-2007 01:50 AM

This is an easy fix. Open up the plugin with a text editor and do the following:

Search for:
Code:

                        $vbulletin->db->query_write("ALTER TABLE " . TABLE_PREFIX . "forum ADD `afsuotpt` SMALLINT( 5 ) NOT NULL default '0'");
Replace with:
Code:

                        $vbulletin->db->query_write("ALTER TABLE " . TABLE_PREFIX . "forum ADD `afsuotpt` SMALLINT( 5 ) NOT NULL default '1'");
Save the plugin file, and then upload to your forum. By changing the 0 to a 1 it turns on the option for all forums by default.

Dragon Company 07-01-2008 09:20 AM

Any VB 3.7 version ? :(

Ranger187 07-01-2008 10:23 AM

3.7 and flawless.

Dragon Company 07-03-2008 04:54 PM

Ok thanks :)

BirdOPrey5 01-18-2009 09:49 AM

Installed and working fine in 3.8

Only annoying thing is it seems to be "off" for every forum by default- I have to go to each one in forum manager and turn it on.
