Display only one signature per Member per Thread page DescriptionThis hack allows you to specify for each forum if you wish that the signature of a member is displayed only once per thread page. So, it allows you to return the display of your threads a bit more clean by avoiding displaying several times the same big signature. Installation You must import the product xml. (Plugins & Products >> Manage Products >> [Add/Import Product]) This product add 4 plugins and 1 phrase. Copyright This hack is under copyright MGC (Mtor&Grog Corporation) 2007-forever. Thanks poulet tu rox

Yes, poulet, good good :p

I am finding that when a user edits their post, their sig will show up even though they already have a post in the thread with teir signature viewable.
|
great ideam i can really use this :D

Once I refresh the page the signature goes away :) |
Which posts does the signature show up in? I'm looking for a hack that will allow the sigs to show up in the last post of each thread, is that possible with this hack?
Thanks |
I have some threads that are over 50+ pages long, and some 200+ pages.
Hopefully this cuts some server load; some users have pretty long sigs :) |

I've wanted this as a plugin for so long! Thanks a lot!
Unfortunately I see no change. Am I supposed to change a setting somewhere? Is that what the phrases are for? I can't work out what else they'd be for? |
The settinng is in the forum options :)
You can set it on a per forum basis. |
Thanks alot for it :)
|
is only for member or works for guests too...for me its working for member only
|
|
For guest I don't really know as these could be different guests each time you know.
But as theFAILURE stated it seems to work :) |
Just what I needed and it works. Thanks!
The only thing I would add is an option to apply this to all forums globally instead of just forum-by-forum. |
Yep that's a nice idea.
I have not planned to update this hack right now but I'll do it soon. |
Maybe this is redundant, but I have a main area with sub-forums, if I set the main area to allow only one sig, the subs still have it disabled. I have to turn this on in every area. Is there a way to turn it on for the whole hieracrchy, or just take a drink, and enable on every area? ;)
|
Ok, hack doesn't fully work. Same page, I see my sig 4 times out of 9 posts. But if I refresh the page, then it works. This is odd...
|
How does this new hack differ from the one posted here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=139689

I couldn't find the option!
|
The option is the options of each of your forum :)
|
thanks for this
|
great hack, but I want to enable it on each of hundreds of forums... is the only way with this to do it one by one? Would take a long time.... :(
|

Any VB 3.7 version ? :(
|
3.7 and flawless.
|
Ok thanks :)
|
Installed and working fine in 3.8
Only annoying thing is it seems to be "off" for every forum by default- I have to go to each one in forum manager and turn it on. |
