Dark Style
Dark Style
Notes Although the screenshots say 3.5.x this IS a 3.6.x skin, just cba to re-take them :) The zip includes PSD's for the header and statusicons. You free to use this on your forums and the rest of your site as long as you retain the copyright notice at the bottom, your getting a free skin I don't think its to much to ask :) Installation
Enjoy! And please don't forget to click Install! For information on removing the copyright notice contact me via PM. Other wise you may NOT remove it Thanks. Mathew Summerfield [www.frombasics.com] |
:(
Someone compressed my gif's!... would I be better to host the screens off site? :\ Thanks, Mat. |
Glad to see your back! I'll have to grab this theme as it was my main theme for 3.5.x ...may return as my main for 3.6.x :)
|

Thanks, Mat. |
:D yay
Use to have this skin installed back when i ran a F1 forum grate skin downloaded now will install it when i get around to upgrading forum to 3.6.7 :D |
Very nice skin. I love it. I have installed it as my default skin. :)
|
I like the simplicity and lack of images, its great for Dial up or people who want low bandwidth and it still looks nice :)
|
newbie question sorry, where do i put the PSD files and Forum files. i know i should know this sorry again...
|
np random we were all newbie's once :P
The PSD files don't need to be uploaded only the files in the 'upload' folder so the 'fB_dark' folder should end up here: "www.yousite.com/forum/fB_dark/'. The PSD files are only used for editing the images such as the header to change the text to your site name :) Oh and don't forget to click install :) Thanks, Mat |
thank you Mat! check it though, i have buttons on my navbar that dont show up when i switch to this style. like for instance i run ImageHost and a chat program and those options do not show up. is there a way to fix that an another newbie question since you handled the other withthout laughing. how do i change it from "yoursite.com" at the top of the site to "mysite.com"
|
Editing the header image (to change the text from 'YourSite' to 'MySite' requires a PSD editor to alter the ‘header.psd’ file (Photoshop, GIMP or another type of PSD editor), you would also need the font I used when making this, way back when… which I have now lost :P.
If you’re not to comfortable editing the PSD yourself I'll be happy to quickly change the text when I get home for you :) As for the navbar buttons, if I remember correctly when you install those modifications 'ImageHost' and the chat program they would have required you make alterations to the 'navbar' template that would have added the links, so I would go back though them check the instructions and see if they did, if they did then simply re-apply them to this style :) Thanks, Mat |
Yay! finally i can upgrade to 3.6.x keep it up :D sent PM as well

np random, enjoy the skin |
Hi Nutz,
Got around to installing your skin :) One of my members pointed out that the member list page looks very, well messy when members don't have an avatar to brake up the page. See Attachments |
Your members have big avatars ;) um.. the only thing I can think of is disabling showing the avatars on the member list. Other than that its acting like it should =/
Thanks, Mat |
Hi, thank you very much for your work, I would like to install 3.6.7 and I've been waiting for this skin. I have customized my skin, if I install this new one I'll lost all my customization?
Many thanks, matteo |
Depends how many modifications you made and where, as long as it doesn’t clash with any of the few mods made to this skin ( namely the header and footer ) you might get away with setting this as a child to your modified skin, so that it would inherit the changes made to that one :)
Thanks, Mat |
You will keep this skin updated to the latest vBulletin version?

Any idea if this skin will work with the latest 3.8 vbulletin? thanks
|
Great Skin.
|
I'm still running this skin, but I see now that it's last update on the files was in fabruary 2006, so it might be about time i update them. Starting to get quite a few out-of.date custom templates now.
Is this fully compatible with 3.8? I seriously love this theme though, so thank you som much for still supporting and updating this. Best skin I eveer used. So clean and simple yet great. Keep up! |
Would like to ask this same question as well.. I love this theme and its the only reason why I cant upgrade to 3.8 since I have no idea if the theme will be broken once I upgrade :(
Hope this gets updated. Im willing to donate if needed, I love the simplicity of this skin ;) |
Can anyone update this to 3.8.0? I need this design. Thank you :)
