Intergrated Image Uploader
 

This hack adds the ability to upload image files to IMGBolt.com, from your website and be given the URL/BBCode to post in your posts. It is available when creating a new thread, new post or editing a post.

Why you should install this:

• You do not have to do any template changes, as the mod uses your template system.
• Unlike other image upload scripts, this one does not require any iframe so you're able to complete customize it to your taste.
• You can upload more then 1 image at a time, as well as remove potential uploads.
• Ability to create thumbnails, with three choices: No Thumbnail, Small (100 x125) and Large (120x180).
• File types include: .jpeg .jpg .png .gif .bmp .tif .tiff and have a maximum of 5MB per an upload.
• And best of all, IMGBolt.com allows pornography. ;)

Instructions:

1. Import product-zp_imgbolt.xml into vB using the AdminCP Product Manager.
2. Enjoy the new addition to your posting arsenal !!!

21st May 2007 EDIT: Please can you re-download the product and re-install! As the editor mode issue has been fixed, the problem which caused this was a bit of loose javascript running my end. I've also fixed some styling errors in I.E.

Not quite what I was expecting from the title, but frankly this is better! I've always avoided similar mods due to what you mentioned, the dreaded iframe... But this looks like a nice wholesome package. Thanks very much!

There may be some little bugs to iron out as I've only tested this on my website, so if you do happen to run into any please list them here and i'll do my best to get them fixed asap.

Uh oh... can't switch editor mode with this mod enabled. Hope you can fix that.

Suggestions:

1: Make the upload button more conspicuous we all know the stupid people are going to get lost.
2: Allow logging in from forum to Imgbolt to store media in user selected folder if they have account.

cool, this would be handy for a fair few sites out there, nice work.

The editor mode problem has been fixed, see main post for more info. I suggest everyone who currently has this product installed, re-install it! This will fix the editor mode problem.

very cool idea - was wondering if you could add flickr , imageshack for users to select?

that way you can take advantage of hosting your images in many popular photos sites to save bandwidth as well as giving your users multiple choice of images hosting sites.

On a lighter note: I've updated the file again, this time i've fixed styling errors in I.E :)

I'm hoping that's all the kinks worked out now.

i have the problem with thumbnails...not resize the image small and large version..only extended..

Ryozzo, do you mean you're unable to resize your images? If so then I'm afraid to tell you the script does not let you resize your images, yet. The "Small (100x125)" and "Large (120x180)" are size's for thumbnails.

WOW works just great for me. And if you log into the site before hand the files upload right to your account sweet......

Strange, since I installed it I cannot submit a thread where I have choosen to post a vBookie event! I press the submit button but the post doesn't get submitted. Any idea why this is happening?

No, why would i want to do that? I created this script as an advertising medium for my website imgbolt.com, it would defeat the purpose if i allowed a dozen duplicates of this script running from various competition. :(

I'll most likely set it so when you press enter it'll input the upload. Working on that now :)

What is your username? It appears you're the only person with this trouble, may i suggest looking in your spam box? (You never know, your email could of been filtered our for some reason or another).
