[AJAX] EWT - Chat Minichat Addon (Shoutbox)
 

This addon gives you a shoutbox style minichat on your forum pages. Right now it shows up on all pages but I will release a new version soon which will have an option for forumhome only or all pages.

Requirements: You must have EWT vBChat installed for this to function correctly.

Wow this is great and works like a charm. Only one question and it might be a stupid one but can you move the box. Mine is showing up at the top of the forums right under the nav bar. I would like it around the "whats going on box" at the bottom. Any ideas how to move it. Thanks

I will release an updated version in the next few days with an option to select where it shows and stuff.

How can you make the shoutbox appear on custom skins? It only appears on the default vbulletin skin for me.

i use EWT vBChat 2.9.2

does not work with 2.9.2 because vbchat.php was renamed in 2.9.2

what template do you have to edit to find the placement code?

add $minichat in where you want it to display.

This should work as long as you uploaded the legacy file that I included in 2.9.2 which contains just the ajax functions for the minichat to work correctly.

I put $minichat below the Who's Online Template and it still appears on top. I really only want it at the bottom of the pages where only "who's online" is present

ill try to figure it out.

just go comment out the auto template edit php code thats at the bottom of the plugin.

Heres a copy of the product with no auto template edit so you can place $minichat where you want it to show up.

Can i remove tabel ?

yes just do a display: none css attribute for the column in the table.

This is a great addon thank you.

What I would like to do is add a option in the usercp so they can choose if this displays or not. Can someone tell me how I can do some sort of if command to either show the chat box or not.
