Who is the best in business?
Greetings folks,
Not a big poster but a long-time member. As I am only interested in recommendations, it would be inappropriate for me to post in the requests forum: Who is the best vBulletin skin coder out there? Thank you, Artashes |
do you seriously think we will answer you here?!
i've read your Service Request... one of the bad ways to do it... you don't give a single detail on the job to be done and you require a quote and a lot of personal details... ok, a hint: if you want me to quote on a job to be done, give details on the job. a second hint: this is not a site for freelancers, so there is a lot of chances you will not start a flaming thread about who is the best in x or y... if you really need the best, you will hit a wall, because each project is different... i can be your best and be the worst of someone else... and my partners may think i'm the god here and the others will think i'm the troublemaker *(i'm more the last one than the first!) |
Around here, the less someone wants to do the job the more likely they'd be good at it :p

And yeah... it's hard for us to tell you who is the best, because you will get 400 different answers, kind of defeating the purpose. If you do some searching, there are a few good threads which 1) list them all, and 2) have some valuable feedback on them. Going back to what hambil said, the ones that you want (best) are probably already bogged down with work, and won't even look in the service requests forum. So do a bit of research, and approach those folk privately. |
Thank you for the answers guys, I get the point.
In my view, I was looking for someone who is known to specialize in skin coding full-time, be it as individual or company. Adrian, thanks for the tip. I will search around, but I guess you are right - approaching them individually might provide the best assessment of their qualifications. Oh, and nexialys, this is a skin coding opportunity, I am not sure what else is there to describe. I am pretty confident my description gave good basis for someone to understand whether they are qualified for it or not. Best, Artashes |
so i am not qualified...

I will personally recommend Miner at www.minerskinz.com
For me, has recently reskinned: www.lovethatsound.com www.therockforum.com www.eternal-allegiance.com I highly recommend him. He charges $300 per skin, but they are custom and he will keep at it in order to make his customer happy. |
Not to beat a dead, dead, dead dead dead dead horse, but... this is just one more example of the need for a commercial links directory with user ratings.

Nicholas @ www.forumskin.com is in the process of finishing up my design at www.militarysos.com (vba + forum skin have been custom coded). We'll also have a custom skin + customized vba portal up on www.thewomanhood.com by next week.
His prices are a bit higher than a few other people I contacted about custom skins, but it's been WELL WORTH IT. He's been such a pleasure to work with and has done an amazing job. Forgive me if the sites are slow - we're moving to a new server this afternoon :) |
I would reccomend exaltic for any skin work. They're top class and good with the support end of things too. If you want a blog then check out vblogetin.com, another good site. If you want a portal then check out Vbadvanced. If you're looking for modifications then obviously here is the place to be!
