A Version mit some more Features ;)

Dismounted 04-12-2007 08:32 AM

Your one doesn't respect style override features (or atleast I don't think it does).

ilydgn 04-12-2007 08:37 AM

thank you:up:

Surviver 04-12-2007 08:37 AM

Why not? Lokk in the source Code. It will work ;)

Dismounted 04-12-2007 08:40 AM

Because you're changing the option and not checking 'styleoverride' which is supposed to override all user styles in a specific forum.

hm...
As for me if hack hasn't manualy template changes it's more powerfull for newbies and members who has MANY hack's with template changes installed.

Snake 04-13-2007 11:13 AM

Thanks!

maamon 04-14-2007 09:56 AM

thank you...

I take it your forum default has to be 'new postbit' or this doesn't work. Is that right? If so, any way to make it work in reverse (i.e. legacy is default, but let users turn on new)?

Dismounted 04-19-2007 06:25 AM

A tweak of the plugin would fix this. I'll post the new plugin code later as I'm busy currently.

ShadowWeaver 04-19-2007 09:29 AM

if i'm browsing my site in debug mode it tells me that the templates aren't cached when i choose the legacy style (which isn't default). Is there a way to make get the legacy templates cached too or will there be a query more all the time?

RCWong 08-08-2007 03:38 AM

Also it seems, it doesnt change the postbit when you look at private msgs. It stays in the horizontal postbit.

ImmortalForums 10-26-2007 07:49 AM

anyway to make this default to on? I tried putting yes as the default option but it does not save for the user.

Dismounted 10-26-2007 10:03 AM

You need to place 'Yes' at the top and also, you'll need to change the plugin to reflect an empty field.

What do you mean by an empty field?

~Update
I flipped the plugin posistions and this worked.

McMendo 11-21-2007 09:01 PM

I used to have the Legacy (Vertical) Postbit. Now with this installed it works fine. But on the Horizontal Postbit the username of the member shows duplicated. I remember having had this problem before with the Legacy Postbit, but I can't remember how I fixed it.

Any idea?

Dismounted 11-22-2007 03:33 AM

Make sure that you don't have the username code in twice.

complord 12-16-2007 04:41 PM

This is causing a problem with deleted posts on our forum, which is v3.6.8. A screenshot is attached. They show up with the little garbage can icon, but the "Manage" hyperlink is gone. When I disable the plugin, they show up normally.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas what might by causing this.

lifanovsky 04-22-2008 11:32 AM

Will this plugin work with 3.7?

lifanovsky 04-22-2008 11:53 AM

Just tested. Doesn''t seem to work on 3.7 RC3. Also, I confirm the bug with no "manage" link with this plugin activated.

lifanovsky 04-28-2008 12:22 PM

Gentlemen, could you please advice the plugin that will allow to achieve the same thing as this one and will work with 3.7?

lifanovsky 05-04-2008 12:25 PM

*bump*

texasf1racer 05-05-2008 04:21 AM

I haven't had any luck either getting support for this mod. It did not work on 3.6.10.

*Uninstalls* :(

lifanovsky 05-05-2008 09:18 AM

But the plugin of that kind happily works here, at vb.org . Is it some private coding or is it a published plugin? Is there a way to know this?

i also need this for 3.7.0 ... :)

Boofo 05-05-2008 10:26 AM

Just do a profile field and a conditional.

KURTZ 05-05-2008 10:42 AM

what conditional Bobby?

Boofo 05-05-2008 11:05 AM

Ok, Kurtzy, here you go, sir. Just use the the standard "if post['fieldx']" conditional, after you set up a profile field for the user to check which postbit they want.

texasf1racer 05-08-2008 06:16 AM

Just a quick note: I finally got this to work on vB 3.7, but the issue with the default postbit doesn't seem to be resolved. In other words, the site must have the postbit template set as default in order for this to work, so users can choose to stick with the new horizontal postbit style or choose the vertical postbit legacy style.

Change the default postbit style in your vB options before installing this mod, then install per instructions and it should work fine as it does on my forum.

Kinneas 05-15-2008 04:21 PM

I don't suppose there is a working 3.7 version of this yet?

Dismounted 05-17-2008 06:54 AM

I will port this over when I have time to.

Kinneas 05-18-2008 01:22 AM

Thanks, looking forward to it :)

pedroenf 05-26-2008 10:38 AM

So do i.

neologan 06-02-2008 08:31 PM

also looking forward to a 3.7 release :)
