Lol, long name, but useful hack. If a user knows for a fact that they are banned, they will just go through a proxy. Although, if the site has been *Hacked* they won't have any objections, and they will just have to live with it. Basically what this hack does is it replaces the vbulletin default message of "Sorry, the administrator has banned your IP adress" with a redirection to an image that says your website has been hacked. I know, im genius, no need to say it. This is hardly 100% foolproof, but you get the concept.

Oh jesus, I do, but don't want to do that. That would be morally wrong. Anyway, if you do deciede to do that, no need to upload the image, and change /hacked.png to the website you want it redirected to.

Problem with that is, your giving people the idea of hacking your site. Your better off with a message with something like "The website is closed for maintenance and upgrades". That way if the people contact you, just pretend the maintenance isint over yet.

Well, thats the beautiful part about it. If they think its hacked, why would they even bother messaging you? I usually don't go back to a site if I think its hacked, just a waste of time! And I'm pretty sure maintenace and upgrades don't go on for 30 years :D. They will know somethings up by the first week or two.

Nice idea. I would prefer to make it to a 'Domain parked' or 'Account suspended' page instead of 'Site hacked' hehe.

Im actually going to consider the Account suspended page one, and a godaddy parked page. Good idea. More releases of this hack coming up!

Do you think a FBI or something similar website poping up and saying their IP will scare them? I dont, but maby it will get the novice?

Oh god thats a good one. Ill do one stating their IP and that the board is under federal investigation, and they will be questioned the next time they come. That will be sure to scare off some potential n00bs.

Or you can do one of them vbulletin errors, probly The board is offline as we have ran into some legal trouble, we have moved location and those who i trust will receive and email shortly.

Or maby even a SQL error! :)

How about adding a complete IP whois of the banned member to the FBI warning? Yes, I know this is only possible in a page, not in a image. But still. Makes it much more credible and scary.

The only info your gona get from a whois is their ip and hostname, which distinguishes their ISP. Nothing else i belive... Wouldnt scare me! :D Heck, why dont i just tell you my IP: 124.168.103.173

I know, I know, but the first time I saw my IP shown to me on my site, I was actually kind of scared.... but then again I was 8. It's just funny how some people believe they can be hacked just with their ip. Anyway, I'll make it later. And yes, there are more than a couple gullible kids on se7en.... Gotta agree with you there.

Hehe, trust me, if you are 8 and think the FBI are after you, you would be scared :D Besides, anyone dumb enough to believe that the FBI is after them for going to a site wouldnt know how to use a proxy :D

How about having a page with admin assigned links? You could easily turn this into a torture feature too. That would be nice. How about torturing the banned people while your at it?
Put a link to close the page or goto see more info and have a multi popup window enough to drive someone insane? Just an idea....
