Scrolling Posts

****Update**** Version 2 now has only the first post scrolling, and im going to come out with two more versions. First post without any hoizontal scrolling, and regular no horizontal scrolling.
Big thanks to Dismounted for helping me out with the first post thing.

I got this idea from this thread-https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=144126
Created by Luky, I thought, sure signatures are pretty big, but they are nothing when it compares to big posts. As he said, I just hate it whenever you have to scroll down about a mile just to get to the next post, and this fixes that problem. If you don't like the dimensions, change 'em. If you don't know how to change them, post it here as a support post, and I'm sure things will get worked out.
Notes-
SUPPORT WILL ONLY BE IN THIS THREAD.
SUPPORT WILL ONLY BE GIVEN TO USERS WHO CLICKED INSTALL.
IF YOU USE THIS, PLEASE CLICK INSTALL!

Demo- (This is now only for version 2, as version 1 has a screenshot.)

**Took me 5 minutes to whip up, so tell me if you find any bugs. I will not make this beta as I believe that it is working fine, but there is always a slim chance.

UltimateOreo! 04-12-2007 10:51 PM

Just a suggestion:

There isn't really any use for the horizontal scroll bar.. You should use "overflow-x:hidden" to hide it. The only time you'd need the horizontal scroll bar is for very large pictures, and if someone is letting their users post large pictures, they most likely have an image resize hack installed as well.

UltimateOreo! 04-13-2007 08:58 PM

Thats the only reason I used it was for images, Although good idea, I will release another version to change it.

UltimateOreo! 04-14-2007 05:17 AM

Updated everyone, now it has a feature for only the first post scrolls!

nice update, but what i was after was, the first post in a thread being left untouched, and the rest having this enabled.
Only asking, as quite a lot on my place, members use the first post in a thread to post up pics, intros etc, and that needs to be left as a large post....the rest then could have the scroller applied.
sorry if i confused you m8....

Well, I think I can do that too. Get ready for a version 3!

I don't know if this is possible, but is there a way to make this mod so that the poster of each thread can select whether or not he wants this option turned on for his thread?
