Demo Link? AuctionAds is an affiliate-type service.

auctionguy 04-10-2007 01:45 PM

Does this system just work on Ebay auctions or would it work for any other as well?

Slapyo 04-10-2007 03:41 PM

only for ebay. thanks dismounted!

butty 04-10-2007 11:01 PM

cheers for this, jus installed it and going to see how it does on my forum

can anyone tell me if its a link to a sellers many items (altho it does seem to go through the auctionads referral link. if someone clicked that link then clicked on a item would the commission still be gotten or not?

you can also use this with adsense so gets the thumbsup from me! :)

butty 04-11-2007 03:19 AM

okay ive installed this but it only seems to rewrite some and not others

check

http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/forum...-classics.html

and

http://www.oldskoolanthemz.com/forum...t-records.html

can ya think of any reason why this could be please?

many thanks for your time

Dismounted 04-11-2007 05:15 AM

Hmm, the link seems to rewrite on my test board.

butty 04-11-2007 07:34 AM

some of them do on mine mate and then not others. could it be the way that the ebay url is do you think? maybe because its the uk ebay? i cant see much diffrence between the 2 url's in the links, am hoping that somebody else will :)

Dismounted 04-11-2007 08:30 AM

My hack rewrites all url's with ".ebay." in them, so it's not that.

butty 04-11-2007 11:33 AM

i have vbseo on my forum too. could it be anything to do with that dya think?

reteep 04-12-2007 08:23 AM

Is this working for ebay.de, too, or just ebay.com?

Dismounted 04-12-2007 08:31 AM

Read three posts up :).

Allright, so I guess if it's .de or .com doesn't matter. Thanks! :)

bacanze 04-12-2007 12:46 PM

Great that it can supportall ebay tld's thanks.

butty 04-12-2007 03:14 PM

i just turned my vbseo off and its still not working with all ebay links. anyone else getting this problem? its a strange one!

Ryan McBain 04-29-2007 11:16 PM

How can you tell if this hack is working?

ESADCG 05-03-2007 02:47 AM

Slapyo 05-04-2007 12:32 AM

Nice mod! Installed

TheMusicMan 06-09-2007 05:58 AM

Where do you find your Campaign number...? and what if you have more than one campaign...?

Dismounted 06-09-2007 11:15 AM

I'm not familiar with AuctionAds, so I don't know how it all works. I just coded a modification by request. I would imagine a campaign number would be shown to you on your account management page?

Caddyman 06-11-2007 12:54 PM

To get campaign number

add a campaign in usercp on auctionads

then go to make a code

then select the campaign in dropdown

it will show the number in the code.

Actually - you may not.

AuctionAds has the benefit of scale. Because of the amount of publishers it has, AuctionAds is at the higher payout tiers. You cant get the same payouts via CJ.

We have started a support forum just for AuctionAds on vBulletin FAQ to answer your questions about AuctionAds and how it can be implemented with vBulletin. Come on by.

popowich 06-16-2007 04:46 PM

Account and client numbers are the same thing, yes?

-Raymond

Reece^B 06-17-2007 08:29 AM

No

Account Number > Publisher ID

Campaign Number is different, AuctionAds explains where to get the number from.

maryx 06-26-2007 10:58 AM

1 ) What is the Affiliate PID that version 1.1 asks for? Is that my publisher account number from auctionads?

When I put in that long number and click "save" in vB options it just shows that the first number out of the long string of numbers is saved. Is this right?

2) version 1.0 asks for campaign number, version 1.1 doesn't. It seems to me that it would be nice to get things sorted by campaign, so was this really an improvement, to not put in campaign number?

I hope this works! It is a nice easy mod.

TheMusicMan 06-26-2007 12:09 PM

Version 1.1 - ?????? where's that?

Dismounted 06-27-2007 09:49 AM

There isn't, there's just 1.0.

nymyth 07-11-2007 06:47 PM

Installed...thanx for this...havent tested it yet....does it conflict with vbSEO by any chance?

Dismounted 07-12-2007 05:19 AM

No, it shouldn't conflict with vBSEO.

nymyth 07-12-2007 12:23 PM

good to know...installed...

meissenation 07-29-2007 08:32 PM

*clicks Installed* Thanks!

WoodiE 08-17-2007 10:23 PM

I'm having the same problem as well - some links rewrite, others do not.

Dismounted 09-05-2007 07:28 AM

Can I see examples?

WoodiE 09-05-2007 02:49 PM

Dismounted,

Try this forum - http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=30

I've had the mod installed since the 14th of Aug.

WoodiE 09-12-2007 05:21 PM

Any luck regarding this issue? Still not working for me...

Dismounted 09-13-2007 10:20 AM

I shall be going through all my modification soon, as the school term ends tomorrow :).

WoodiE 09-17-2007 11:40 AM

Great, I hope you can get this working as the AA ads alone have been proving to be a good pay off.
