can any 1 help me

is my vb3.6.5 save or i need to install any hack or mod for batter security

please help

Be allot more helpful if you posted some real information that we can work with. A HACKER IS ATTACKING MY SITE... How do you know its a hacker and not a spammer or a mad friend?

but shout box words changed some posts threats auto deleted

but stil i m safe and didnt hacked yet

i think some 1 is hacking is it real hack???

every other thing is normal

just in night time this thing happend

So someone joined in the past few days big deal. Doesn't matter how long its been since you installed an add on or hack. Please explain EXACTLY what happened.

;) not you bro... i'm still just trying to figure out how/why notrious THINKS he's being hacked. i mean, what specifically made him think someone is hacking the forum. just because someone says something in a shoutbox doesnt make it so. if i go over there and register and start saying i'm hacking his forum, does that mean i'm actually hacking it?

LMAO yes bro this kid is one of those infamous NOOBS we all dread at forums. But just like everyone else he deserves his fair share of help at least thats my opinion at least he gets his three strikes....lol

Like I suggested he most likely has a member with permissions they shouldn't have. I would check them all and the logs too see who was logged in at the time.

mods can change or delete shouts. maybe you should review your team

1) Review your team.
2) Change the name of your admincp and don't tell anyone.
3) Ban everyone who deserves it.
4) Don't tell your team you are being hacked, it will only tip them off.
5) Don't post in your forums you are being hacked.

But do they have mod permissions? The ability to hide or not is really not relevant in this case.

Secondly, change the AdminCP and ModCP folder names (root of your forum) and then modify your config.php file to reflect those changes.

If you hire anyone to be on your team, please request personal information from them.

Restrict your team's privileges or get rid of them completely without telling them. Ban everyone who is on your team and see if the problems go away. If they do go away, then it is your team.

You can always find people to help you out who are truly interested in contributing to and helping your community flourish.

Also, set yourself as a user that cannot be deleted in the config.php file.

i have 3 mods all they changed to registred users

even i was not loged in and i dnt gave usergroup permission to other admin

is there any way to block the proxy

Whats the proxie? How do you know someone who is hacking your site is using a proxie? If you have an IP address you MUST have a username? And you can block the proxie thru cpanel

changed your password beacuse they could be on your account two. because people that is mad at you could of sent you a keylogger virus and got the stuff you log into and get your pass and stuf so run a virus scan and change your password to numbers insted of letters

yh bro i got this person ip i just know to ban ip please can u explain how i can block the proxy coz he is useing hide ip sofrware and he is registering agian and agian


i have heard if i block this person proxy he can, after this even hide ip software are useless
