Description: We are web-architekt... i am the coder, designer, main consultant for this project. This is my very-old project that came back to life last fall... i'm leading a bunch of coders that will answer clients requests related to vBulletin, Wordpress, and other platforms that have an easy templating system (when related to style!)

Reason for Nomination: just nominate the site, that's all... ok, there are some details on the site:
1- complete rehearsal of the templates...
2- going to be tableless in the next days...
3- we provide support and contact with professional vBulletin coders - this is a commercial site... rare!
4- we will release all our free stuff there and here on vB.org, but also a load of commercial addons, products, tweaks, etc...
that's enough i say!

There's an issue in Opera, the threads are being pushed down due to the width. I didn't look at your coding but if you're using static widths or padding, switching to margins and percentages would be better. Let me know if you want a screenshot.

Issue notwithstanding, the design looks good. The amount of work you put into it shows.

yeah, i know the issue with Opera, thanks for reporting it... that is due to the fact that Opera is not using the same pattern for the CSS, so i will have to find the proper tweak for it...

i'll test with Opera, now that i can.. lol gosh, this wil lbe complicated to debug, because only the forumdisplay and showthread are bugged, and all the pages are using the exact same template...

anyway... Opera... always bugging the web!

I think that the design lacks a lot, there is nothing at all that really catches your attention about it. Pretty dull. Although I do like the clean layout, just seems a little too boring.

thanks for the "pretty dull" comment Criticize.. you really are not a designer or anything related to coding xhtml/css, and that is a good example of why...

the goal of my site is not to make a show... it is a demonstration of flexibility and expansion...

i can easily draft a website with millions of colors, icons that will trash you in your bucket, or GREAT flash banners that blow off your monitor... this is so easy to do, i'm always questionning why people are always paying hundreds for these ready-made styles...

anyway... the structure of this style is different, it's a sandbox, that means you simply have to edit the CSS, some details in it, and it will look completely different... a simple left instead of right will make the the sidebar to display the other side around, and you don't need to edit all your templates to make it work... the same for the navbar or the breadcrumb... a simple margin: -2em; would make it show above the title instead of below... no need to edit your template for that...

oh, and that style is a great style for adding a background image to it...

@TMXS... thanks for the comment about Opera... i think i fixed it... the main content part did not have a width of its own, so it was over-flapping.. :) the usual bug of Opera so...

I like the intro, where nexialys.net falls down. :p
Also, change that blue lil symbol in your logo, it does not look like a "Y" in any way.
Your users will get confused.

that blue little symbol is not supposed to look like a Y, but to a Blue Lys...

There is a small bug with Ie7.0 on your forumhome.
Other then that i like the softness however i cannot say the logo fit the site perfectly.
Also on forumhome you shall also work a little bit on subforums.
I really like sites who are trying to take out tables. If you need help on any thing drop me a message.

As i said before if you really need help in developing a tableless style , drop me a message maybe i can help you. I am also consedering starting a new project . As i developed my current one special to my site . Instead of sharing that one i prefer to share a more simple version. We can work together maybe ;)

that damn IE7... worst than anyother browsers... i'll have to install Windows on my box to see that...

Really? I am not a designer or coder? Just because I don't have a user title on these forums doesn't mean anything. I have designed and coded more websites and skins than you can count LOL.

I am not being rude, you asked for an honest opinion and I gave it to you. That is coming from someone who has been doing Web Development for over 10 years.

Hey Criticize, you suck. What you have done is fantasitic, i wish there were more people out there that would be prepared to break the mold and show vbulletins flexibility. Keep up the good work.

I like your site, I am a fan of it. I just think something a little more appealing would fit it better. No hard feelings, I like it. You asked for OPEN thoughts so I put in my 2 cents.

nah, Criticize does not suck.. he is just from another branch of the web design, the side i don't like... but i respect his opinion, i thanked him for his comment, without sarcasm... we always need both sides of the opinions to be able to evaluate our values... and i'm valuable.. lol

the site is not finished yet, i'm halfway to it, because i can't do too much on a single day, i'm a SAHD, and i took like 7 or 8 hours doing the breakage of the first part... the next part will be to un-table it... and then making it a sandbox we can play with...

... i suggested Jelsoft to integrate a "second" default style to the vB 4.0, a complete sandbox... they did not reply yet... maybe someone have to push the puck... (hockey words!)

I am not a big fan of the entry page, it really offers nothing to the visitor. The image is nice, it just does not give much else outside of that.

The logo is very sharp, and I like it a lot. The odd spelling of Architekt seems a little out of place, but it is eye catching and will stick in the visitors mind.

It is obvious that you spent a lot of time making the forum look like anything but a forum, and in this you did a great job. Until I actually got down to the post level I found it very hard to identify it as a forum, and even there it is very custom. It is a very clean, if somewhat simple look. The actual forum posts do seem a bit out of place next to the rest of the site as it contains more color variations. You could adjust the colors here a bit to really tie everything together.

So far it looks really great. I can see where some people may think it is too simple or dull. I do not agree with that, personally I find the look very crisp and easy to navigate. You have done a great job so far :)

i did not spent a lot of time on it actually... maybe 7 or 8 hours total... that's why you have these places where there is a lot of work to be done...

when the design will be finished i will be able to release it asa sandbox, so i may be able to provide 6 or 7 real styles for it at first... or maybe not.. lol... it all depend on Jelsoft.. lol

Well, I like it...very simple and clean. I also looked at your portfolio...nice work!! I especially liked the Charmes de Famille...would like to see that site. Know if it's still around? I'll do a search, of course.

I must say, though...quite brave of you to put your site up for review. No way I'll do it. The only one who's seen it from here was harmor19, and that was cuz I couldn't figure out how to play with one of his game hacks.
