Cyb - Thread Listing Make-Up

vB 3.7 VERSION HERE:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=177957

===

Info:
There was two of my hacks for this, one for prefixes and another for titles, and now it's all merged into this product and improved. Old two products are discontinued so please upgrade to this one to get future updates and support.

This hack will give you ability to customize thread prefixes to look different in forumdisplay and search results depending on thread type (normal, sticky, poll, closed, moderated, moved, announcement). You can do the same thing with thread titles. Hack also adds thread prefix for closed threads and ability to separate stickies and normal threads.

You can use different CSS Properties to customize titles/prefixes. You can change colors, apply different styles like bold, italic, strike,... etc. It's up to you. Product is very easy to set up.

Installation:
1. Import XML file (as product): AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

To set options:
Go to: AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb - Thread Listing Make-Up

Versions:
v1.0 - Mar 17. 2007.
-First release (two old hacks merged into this new one, ID changed, added "Product Version Checking", codes improved, removed some unneded templates, yet easier to use, options to disable any part,...)
v1.1 - Mar 18. 2007.
-New: Announcements prefixes/titles customization
-New: Option to separate Sticky and Normal threads
-Bug fixed (tags shown in text field when you edit thread title via AJAX on forumdisplay)

Click INSTALL if you like this hack.

do we have to uninstall the old plugin and install this new one to make it work or when we install this new one it will do everythin by itself?

thanks

Marco

Valter 03-17-2007 10:59 AM

Uninstall old hacks first, then install new one.

Nice :) Thanks Cyb. I love this hack :p

ThePapabear 03-18-2007 02:56 PM

Hello!

Nice Hack, thank you!
But how (maybe a silly question) should it work, that the search result is depending on thread type (i´d like to have pinned threads on top of a search)?

Thanks for help!

Greetings

Cyb, I love u man! and no Don't want ur beer :)

This consolidated 4 hacks into 1.. sweet!!!

BigJimTheLug 03-18-2007 09:27 PM

This is a great hack.
Is there anyway you can make it so that it can create two types of stickies.

I want to create "paid stickies" for my forum, but dont know how and I think this mod can help me.

thanks.

Absolutely awesome.

Thank you!

Installed.

HMBeaty 03-19-2007 04:51 AM

Just curious (and I haven't looked at the mod yet) but why use CSS instead of using HTML?

jw00dy 03-19-2007 05:04 AM

When you see how it works, you'll understand. It's very cool.

MThornback 03-19-2007 01:05 PM

I installed this, and even tried overwriting it....but its not giving me the dropdowns just the y/n and CSS formatting boxes.....any ideas?

principino1984 03-20-2007 07:02 AM

I installed this hack, but I found that in Firefox when this hack is active the new threads are not in bold character but it's like a normal "already-read" thread...

is it just on my forum?
thanks

Marco

Pathor 03-20-2007 08:34 AM

Nice hack! :)

Just one suggestion: Sticky threads can be closed without using the CSS for closed threads.

Re-download and re-import XML.

First file attached here has that little bug but was updated in a few minutes. It seems you have downloaded it before it's changed. :)

BobbyBig 03-22-2007 02:39 PM

Very good work Cybernetec.

Maybe it is possible to do a different CSS for the Prefix and the Thread title ?

Example:
<font style="styleX1">Announcement:</font> <font style="styleX2">MyAnnouncement Text</font>

This would really be impressive.
regards

BobbyBig 03-22-2007 05:48 PM

you did a small mistake in the plugin:

Plug-in: parse_templates

Code:

yb_cs.'\"></td></tr>';;        break;
note the ;;

##############

For people who wants to have a natural Topic Row for the option "Blank table row between" should change the following:

Seach for the Plugin -> Cyb - Thread Listing Make-Up -> parse_templates

Change case 1 to :
Code:

case 1: $cyb_ssant = '$threadbits_sticky<tr><td class=\"thead\" colspan=\"'.$cyb_cs.'\">&nbsp;</td></tr>';    break;
now this has the same behavior like the good known "Sticky and Normal Threads" Mod.
Maybe Cyber you will change it for your plugin, it really looks better :)

regards

No one can help then I take it?

Tralala 04-08-2007 06:12 PM

I'd like for the "Poll" prefix to only be in RED if the user hasn't yet voted in the poll. Once the user votes in the poll, it would go back to black.

I'd think this is possible, considering this hack changes the icon based on the same criteria...

May I request this as a feature for the next update (if there is one?) A different setting for unvoted polls versus voted ones?

Valter 04-09-2007 07:12 AM

I'll add prefix for unvoted polls in the next version.

Maybe using different phrases.. something like:
Poll:
and
Poll (Voted):

I'll think about this when I have some time...
