My wife's wreck

My wife t-boned a dodge neon, messed both cars up and totaled them both out. But I just had to share, she came out with bumps and bruises while the other guy drove off from the scene and then proceeded to ditch the car about 2 blocks away.

So here is the page with all the pics: http://www.farimynn.com/wreck.html

Enjoy, you can leave comments or what not if you want. I just had to share with peeps, oh yeah, its costing us a fortune to get this whole messed cleared up.

Cheers
Steve M

The guy probably had something illegal in the car that he needed to get rid of. ;)

Sorry to hear about the wreck, your wife picked a good car to run into though. Dodge Neon's are built like cardboard boxes.

HMBeaty 03-15-2007 12:04 AM

So let me guess, the guy in the other car ran a red light and she t-boned him?

BTW, is your wife ok?

Mythotical 03-15-2007 12:06 AM

Actually, he ran a stop sign, she had right away and they collided, he drug her into the other lane. Yeah, she ok, better now that the soreness is gone.

Yeah Dodge Neon's are a joke, they should have been built better or for at least wrecks like this.

I was close :)

You don't happen to live in VA do you? Because NOBODY can drive here. I take the highway home (and to work, but that doesn't matter in this description) and I've been stuck in the SAME spot, every day the past 4 days because of a multicar accident. People here just can not drive

Buddy of mine owns one, 96 model I think. He acts like it's a race car and lemme tell you it's no run riding shotgun in that thing. Whole time I'm sitting over there thinking "You know if we hit a tree or something we'd end up wrapped right around it". ;)

You aren't lying about the VA drivers! I live in Eden (right over the border) in NC and we get our fair share of 'em down here. I think our nice wide roads with lines on them freak out the VA drivers or something, they don't seem to understand that you aren't supposed to cross the yellow line. ;)

HMBeaty 03-15-2007 12:19 AM

lol. BTW, if you're familiar with VA highways, I keep getting stuck at 264 East at Independence. :( And ALWAYS at rush hour. You would think people would pay attention since theres really nothing to look at at that part of the highway

Mythotical 03-15-2007 12:20 AM

LOL, nope, live in MO, got plenty here, they must have moved from VA.

HMBeaty 03-15-2007 12:22 AM

No, that why Missouri has its nickname which I'm sure you're familiar with :) Missouri -> Misery :)

I'm not that familar with the eastern half of the State, I spent most of my time in the Danville area.

Ever been on the Mount Cross Road? I've been driving down that thing for years. There are some nice backroads that intersect with the Mount Cross Road. Great fun if you enjoy some tough driving. Just watch out for 18 wheelers because they are known to cut through that area to make time....not fun meeting one of them on a road with no lines and lanes half the size of your car.

I also enjoy the Berry Hill road (it's right off 58 going towards Martinsville from Danville). Speed limit is 55mph but you can run it as fast as you want if you know the corners and avoid the law.

Mythotical 03-15-2007 12:24 AM

LOL, so true so true, it is Misery here.

Unfortunately, yes.

The half of the road nearest to Danville has been repaved and made wider in the last few years. Changes over to the 'old layout' about 5 miles before you get to the highway. My mother used to live on that road so I know it like the back of my hand. ;)

Lots of people still do that but in reverse because unless you want to work in fast food you probably won't find a job in Eden. I live just outside town between Stoneville and Eden on my families farm...hell you probably drove by my house multiple times when you lived here considering I live on a highway (and it isn't 135...but that would be a good guess ;)).

If you're a fisherman you may have even fished in our pond. Or at least you probably heard about it from a fishing buddy. ;)

Where did you work if you don't mind my asking?

snobird1211 03-15-2007 05:12 AM

Could be Alberta too. I get hit while walking anywhere. Often.

Ziki 03-15-2007 07:07 AM

I can see you in the window Steve :)

This was the late 80's and I transfered there from SC with a company called Bigelow Carpets when they were bought out by Karastan...and worked at their rug mill there. Worked in IT (wasn't called IT back then lol) on an old IBM 3081 water cooled mainframe system.

Ah Karastan...I should have known. :D

Towns grown a bit since you were last here...although it isn't for the best I think. ;) We've mostly gotten wal-mart, a ton of banks, some fast food places, auto part stores, and most of the local business is getting run out of town. :( The local mall serves as an indoor walking track for the old people now...I think it has one store and laser tag still :p. Arcade closed shop years ago so I don't visit the mall much anymore. ;)

Mythotical 03-15-2007 02:19 PM

snobird, no need to worry about a lawyer, our insurance is paying off the vehicle, my wife is going after pain and suffering and then the insurance company is going after the owner of the car to get their money plus what they pay out for pain and suffering.

Ziki, doesn't surprise me, stupid flash goes off no matter what. LOL

snobird1211 03-15-2007 04:00 PM

hey steve pain and suffering is what i went for and i actaually got almost 30 grand extra plus a barnd new car insurance tried to not give me much money at all and alot of lawyer onlt atke 30 percent and u dont pay unless they win

but its just an idea cause insurance company dosent wanna pay and thts the honest turth they want all the money they can so they try to sign u off as cheap as possible

cashpath 03-15-2007 04:53 PM

You'll get more money for P&S if you hire a lawyer... just having a lawyer the insurance company will pay more.

And yeah some of those drivers down in Misery are maniacs!! ;)

Mythotical 03-15-2007 06:38 PM

snobird, what was your injuries?

cashpath, yeah I'm making sure my wife knows all the options. 30 grand right now plus a brand new car would be great.

snobird1211 03-16-2007 04:09 AM

Mythotical 03-16-2007 02:17 PM

Mythotical 03-17-2007 09:47 PM
