**Before Making An Add on **
Please consult with me before making an add on to this hack. As it is my work and such, the add ons that you are trying to make for it may be in the next release.

What does this do?
This hack separates users from staff in the forumhome who's online list.

Screenshots are pretty much just like the ones there. However, i may put some here too.

Possible improvement?

Instead of hardcoding the usergroup ids, if it went off of a setting assigned in the usergroup manager that would be ideal :)

For example, you would edit a usergroup and it would have the radio there of:

Display this group as staff on Who's Online? Yes No

Hm, if it's going to be done via an option, wouldn't it be better as a setting where usergroupid's are listed by commas ;)?

Hm. Try changing the following in the "Separate Staff In User's Online" plugin:

Find:
Replace with:
Do the same for the code that looks like that but with _members as well. See if that works.

Yea, i wasn't to concerned about features. Just wanted to make sure it did as requested. But yea, congrats to him as well for what looks like another nice modification.

this hack better IMHO.
It doesn't need template changes. And it critical for me. Couse i have custom template and updates of vB very difficult when u have many hacks with template changes.

Yea, that's what i aimed for was no template changes. Eventually i may just add more features to this, still no template changes needed. Hopefully i'll get around to it soon ;)

LOL, ok...

ok at first it didn't work but i unistalled product and then i reinstalled it again and that error message went away but now i had created a assist admin as a staff member prior before installing hack and it is showing under member shouldn't that be with staff? :confused:

actually i take that back some how when i refesh the screen ,this is the error message different form the others so i changed that that script in plugin now it appears that they are under invisible mode..lol

installed hack... but got the same errors as others did.....so instead of making any changes i uninstalled it...now my forum show this error

Hm. Why isn't this happening to me.. Try just taking these two lines (individually) out of the plugin:

substr($activeusers_members, 2);

Okay, it worked alright I suppose.
But I'm having this problem here, when I look at "Who's online" I see this:
Staff: ember.php?u=2606" rel="nofollow">The Midnighter, Azurith*, GTX*, Ryu, Takushi Rena*, Ultima Keyblade

As you can see, something is wrong with the code here.

This happens to a lot of people, and then to a lot it doesn't. Try doing one of the following:

Edit the plugin and change this (each line is found in different instances):
To this:
Or try the same, but changing it to 0, or deleting both lines.

I have this issue out of no where now myself it worked fine for two days then today I look and its like this

If you like me have other usergroups with admin permissions, you will have to add those as well to get tid of that error. For example, Manager usergroup at my forum has admin privileges, so I had to add:

Ok i got a problem, when i go to FORUM HOME thing under options it tells me which usergroup i should choose for TEAM and when i pick the ones and go to save it unselects all of them in every save i make and the mod doesnt work.

Umm, how do a set usergroups as 'staff' as I just made someone a mod of a certain section but he isn't being shown in the staff bit, only the members bit.
