Pet Site name Suggestions
 

Ok I have had alot of problems lately coming up with a few good names to choose from so I wish to ask the community of vBulletin to make suggestions.

A few that were suggested to me:
PurrBark.com
FleaBittenForums.com
FleaBitten.com
TheDander.com

The only one I came up with:
PetHabitation.com

Any other suggestions would be grand. The site I plan to do will house a vB board, built around it will be either Subdreamer or I might stick with vBAdvanced CMPS, Photopost Classifieds and a few other choice products. It will be a place for pet owners to discuss care, toys, etc for pets. An ad system will allow them to post missing ads for animals that go missing, sorted by state and major cities, I plan to see about getting sponsors such as Petco.com or PetSmart.com but no guarentee on that. Anyway, anything that will help me in getting a name picked would be much appreciated.

I have the domain PetNeighbourhood.com which I bought to do a similar site which I never got around to.

EDIT// I should probably explain that I used the word neighbourhood as it is a friendly local term and I planned to let the friends have "buddies" so essentially the owners played the part of their pet on the site and helped them explore.

Using one of the "role play game" mods I was going to take this further to allow games and tasks to take place which would earn points as discount in a store or to win entries into competitions for physical products etc. :)

There were lots of other ideas too but this domain covered everything, was specific enough to let people know what the site is about but is broad enough to allow you to do pretty much anything related to pets. If one day you decided to make it just a 100% shop, the name would still suit. I always choose my names with future proofing built in :)

Just a shame I never get around to building half the sites lol

Well I am trying to avoid misspelled words as I don't want my members trying to type it in the right way instead of how it really is.

Now if your have PetNeighborhood.com without the u then I'm willing to deal for that one.

It's not misspelled for me :) That is how we spell it here.

Ahhhh, well I'm gonna think about it for a bit and see if I want that domain as it would work for what I want to do.

No need to stick with just a single name. Pick any/all that tickle your fancy and just redirect them all to a single site. With the price of domain registration these days, why limit yourself? :P

Any .org names will be perfect as most huge pet sites are .org.

No I haven't found a good name yet, but I like thepetstop.org, petsrock.org, petsonthenet.org, and all peepspets domains.

Not to be a stick in the mud, but with the list of domains presented in this thread -- you're giving the opportunity for anyone reading this thread to possibly register them first. Domain names are a commodity and by simply posting them in this thread they will get indexed (thus increasing their desirablity).

Personally, if I were in your shoes I'd jump on any names that you would even consider using -- just to have them available should you actually decide to use one.

Best bet, is to ask for the names to be sent to you in PMs -- to keep them out of the public eye.

Just some friendly advice.
