Need a new host urgently. Advise needed.

I've been told that I have to leave my current host within the next 7 days as my site is using too many resources.

My current stats are
Threads: 39,112, Posts: 116,208, Members: 1,013, Active Members: 464

I have around 20 users active each day at the moment, but it has been rather slow due to problems with timeouts due to my host.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good host, who can easily handle these stats?

I may be starting another site later in the year, so the same hosting account will be being used for both sites.

To note: My site is pretty heavily modified, and can get pretty hammered when it is working right.

Thanks, I've had a look at those and I think I have found a solution. I've decided to go with a VPS as it makes the most sense with the growth I am expecting.

Tell ya what, if you're interested. I got a huge dedicated server and I don't need it all. It's just my site on the server. I'll split it half with you. Let me know, I got a few others interested.

I've had good success with JaguarPC.com for VPS services.

total waste of money IMO... but good luck.

I would recommend bethehost.com. Certainly not very well known, but cheap and I never had any problems w/ it.

Take a look at http://www.servage.net/ they offer a lot, and I'm very satisfied with their support (usually reply after 1 hour) They give you a free domain as well

Just copying and pasting my post from another hosting thread...

I use Surpass hosting. They rule. I've been on dreamhost before (saw it above) and it was always up and down on me.

Even better, surpass is running a hosting deal this month, 1 year of any shared hosting plan for $1. You seriously can't go wrong. And they've been so stable and fast to reply whenever I had trouble (their firewall blocked me for connecting too many times once! lol)

$1 for 1 year. I wouldn't pass that opportunity up if you payed me!

you would think that, unless you're using HostGator. I only had 500 members and they told me my site was using too many resources.

Try:
http://www.xperthost.com/orders/step_one.php?gid=1

http://www.xperthost.com/orders/step_one.php?gid=2

good thing they offer is 100% managed, they help you with everything, installing things, moving things, anything, even if its just the odd html code.

:) and they do everything to make vbulletin to run fast and smooth.

let me know if you go with them, i might get commission :D

thanks dude
