Question about this mod. Does this allow for the welcome PM to go through to new members and does it allow usergroups who are not able to use the pm system until x number of posts to send pm's to admins/moderators only?

I'll think that

COBRAws 01-29-2007 07:15 PM

It would be wise to allow incoming and outgoing pms to Staff usergroups. So if the user receives an infraction, he can read that PM and answer it back to a mod. Also welcome PMs as Smoothie said.

These 2 characteristics where the ones that avoided me from installing the old hack.

agree

At the moment, I can get the same benefits from this hack using usergroups/promotions, if that could be added I'd consider using a hack instead

No offense to the developer of this mod, or the one similar to this one but...

Limiting the use of the PM system for new members is a great idea, yet I can't believe these 2 concerns aren't addressed when making this type of modification.

Hehe I think this info from my forum ;)

But yes promotion job works every 1 hour or 2 hour, but load jump to 7-10.Our server is powerful Woodcrest but if your server is low power and a you have a lot of member, promotion everytime scan your DB evey cron run.

It is very good idea...thanks Atakan

Hi Hakan,

Is there anyway of having this so that new members can
only send Pm's to moderators and admins until they have made enough posts?

Thanks for any help :)

Nice and needed add-on! Congratulation!

Is current ignore usergroup option only for primary usergroup? Probably yes, because it doesnt affect my secondary usergroup that I have put into that option.
How would I go about to exclude secondary usergroups from this nice add-on?

kickabola 02-13-2007 04:50 PM

I want to edit the pop up. Instead of messages it should be posts.

Anybody knows how to do that?
