one ques tion...like the idea, but does the music auto refresh when u change a page, or if the index page refreshes??

Did you enable the settings and check that you have this comment in your footer <!-- /spacer close --> or something similar

You can disable autostart.Autostart is set by default to yes

Music repeats everytime we click on anylink on forum. Is there a solution for running it only once (when we enter the forum) ?

Yes change the hook of the plugin to forumhome_start

I'm surprised anybody would want to use something like this at all. If I ever visit a forum with background music playing I will never visit again.

I agree. I hit a communications site that had the music and it was annoying. For most forums this is a bad idea, but if the site is music related, then it probably would be fine.

It's bad for people who work in offices and they hit their favourite mboards one day to find music that'll wake up the dead...

.....and have it replay every time a link is clicked...lol

I can make it based on cookies so it will only play the first time they visit they site and then never again.Otherwise I can't do anything.Or I can make it only for forumhome.

This would rock if there were more settings.. ie, I would like to use it with my annoying users hack.. make it so that when Trolls or Spammers came to the site, they would have to listen to some annoying noise lol... it would also be cool to set back ground music per forum (not site wide) with the option to have different songs in different forums (again, only if there were user group settings that could make it so that it wasn't on for everyone).

Yes, I agree, could someone perhaps redo this mod to have lots more settings? This has a lot of potential. Especially if you have soft music on there. Perhaps a way to display it as a mini speaker icon at the top of the page so people can turn it off with a click of a button.

I have it turned off at the moment, I would be better if there was more controls over where and when the music plays. I want to use it so it play a little clip of a drag car once you go to the forum home. Not so much for playing whole songs.

But yeah if any one who can make a few changes, it would be very appreciated.

For some reason yet unknown, I cannot seem to download this mod.
I can download others so cannot be seen as unlicensed.

Any ideas?

Footnote added on 3 January 2008 - Happy New Year, all - I have the mod now and it works fine. I allow unregistered to use it and set the volume to suit but members prefer using the Xeon Mp3Player.
