What does it do?

This is better for forums which get alot of post reports, it allows staff to see the amount of post reports open and lets them review and leave appropiate comments.

Users can see there post reports made and can see the status of the report and the moderator dealing with the report.

Admins / SuperMods / Moderators can see the post reports

*Note Moderators will only see the post reports in the forums they moderate*


Moderators can see who reported the post and the time at which it was reported, and the comment given by the user. There are also links to the post itself, the thread the post is on, the forum the thread is in, the user who posted the post and the user who reported the post.

The user page can be linked anywhere you choose; I have included instructions for linking it on the quicklinks menu.


Moderators can update the status of the report, and add a comment. The user who reported the post can then see these changes reflected in their page - it will show the name of the moderator dealing with the report, the comment (if any) left by the moderator, and the time at which the report was last updated.

When a moderator sets the status of a report to 'closed', it is moved to another page in modcp called 'closed post reports'. Post reports that are in the pending state are still kept in the 'outstanding post reports' page.

Installation

• Unpack the .zip file
• Upload the files in the upload directory to your forum root
• Install the product by uploading the product xml file into the product manager in Admin CP
• Make the two template changes specified in 'template changes.txt'

Upgrading

From v1.0

If you are upgrading from v1.00 please uninstall then install the new one.
Be sure to uninstall the original otherwise you will get 2x everything!

From v1.01 OR HIGHER

Simply upload the plugin and choose to overwrite.

Other Notes

• Please note that since i didnt release the original i cannot give support for this modification, however i will help as best as i can
• I have permission to release this port of the original
• FULLY backup your site before installing this modification!! Im not responsible for any loss of data etc if you install this incorrectly or dont backup your database
• Uninstall any previous releases of this hack BEFORE installing this one, failure to do so will result in database errors. *Meaning previous releases, not previous versions of my release*
• This has only been tested on 3.6.4 and 3.6.5, i dont see why this wouldn't work on other versions of vBulletin 3.6.X
• See next post for updates and important notes!!

What version of vBulletin are you running

Did you do the navbar edits sucessfully and did you upload the files / import the product

Nice hack. but since in vb3.6 mods have the control under UserCP, can you make that option to control for the reported post. mods can moderate those post in there usercp, it'll be easy for them, rather then login to modcp every time.

They can click on Post Reports: X

(X being the amount of open post reports)

This will take them to the page to continue moderating the post reports

This will be no different than going into the usercp

and yes i did all ur instruction step by step . i see report post in Admin/Mods Cpanel and quick links . but when i report some post then i try to see it on those option nothing shows up ! and nothing in navbar !

yes! same here, tested it on my test forum. did every thing on default vB skin. no result.

Strange this is working for some versions and not for others, im waiting to look into somones test board to see where the problem lies as im not having the problem

Yeah just run an upgrade, non of the script has changed, just a bug where i entered the wrong id has been fixed, this will keep you updated for new versions

If the new one doesnt work then the old version is still available to download

Hey there, initially i thought i was going to release V1.0 and that was it

I might be releasing further addons for this script as it seems to be quite popular

you might asked pig and he might gave you permission but this system contains code i wrote and i never received a request for permission ..... A system like this is kind of useless now anyway since it became a default feature in 3.6.x you forget this one

I now know the problem why the hacks not working for some people, im trying to make a fix for this now.. it will be fixed in the next release

When Post Reporting Email is turned off.. the hack just doesnt work

So.. a tempory fix would be to...

Turn on Post Reporting Email

i'm not going to *+++++* about this it is fine with me as i decided to drop this hack as 3.6.x can be configuerd under "user infraction and postreporting options"

its not showing up in the users quick links, so I had to uninstall it pending some updates, nice mod though.. thanks.

Some custom skins wont show that info up, but it can easily be solved by placing the code wherever it fits best

Hello, i have a version 2.0 BETA now

All other bugs have been fixed in this version, but obviously when the Send email and Post report discussion forum options are turned off, the post report system disables itself.

When i have sorted that, it will be released

Same here, it appears on the navbar but does not appear on the UserCP.

It would be very nice if the system could run into the forum, into the UserCP, our any other place but not on the ugly one that it runs nowadays... :p
